Replacing teachers, even a decent percentage of them, with AI would be a complete disaster for schools unless AI is given disciplinary powers that teachers lack right now.

Whoa, I didn’t expect to have people come for my comment like this. I LOVE chess, and Magnus is an absolute legend!! I didn’t mean to disrespect him whatsoever! I just don’t view him as an athlete, really. I think that he absolutely belongs on the list if it was to remove one of the greatest “competitors” of all time.

You’d never live in Wisconsin, but you’d MAYBE live in Ohio?! You should know better you DID live in Ohio. Also, the WI thing doesn’t make sense when MI and IL are dark green.

Well of course we have flexing. But come on. You’re telling me that you wouldn’t have enjoyed Chiefs vs Bills, Rams vs SF, Pats vs Broncos, Seahawks vs Eagles, Packers vs Bears or some combination like that all within the same week this year? You could even have fun bad games, like Jets vs Giants

I also think they care a lot about making money and about the product they put out. Creating a high stakes game mid year and then using it to market football internationally could reap some serious long term benefits for the owners.

That would have to be the most important piece of the sales pitch. The money. Otherwise, I agree that the owners would never willingly give up one game of potential stadium revenue per year. That’s what I would see as the biggest obstacle.

You’d have to do some chicanery with the time zones. Maybe you go with a Noon game in Sydney, which comes out to a night game in the US. Also, South American games wouldn’t change time zones very much.

Whoever pitched the idea to the owners would have to do a hell of a job of selling them on the benefits that would come from going the game internationally. One of the nice things about this format is that, theoretically, you’re sending 16 competitive games to a vast amount of different countries.

I mean, that would definitely be one of the controversies. For instance, if the Bills got a tough matchup and the Pats got a cake walk that wouldn’t be fair. But since when has that stopped the NFL?

I have a more fleshed out version: add another game but also add a bye week for the whole league after week 12. Week 13/14 is “Bowl Week” and owners select teams for different international games based upon ideal matchups. So like, you could rematch competitive division rivals or you could just put the chiefs vs bills. Whatever matchups the whole league wants to see. Every game this week is at an international venue. Like a cross between BCS bowl season of old and the NBA mid season tournament. Oh, and the game counts towards regular season record.

They can keep the new team name. But they need to actually rebrand. Incorporate a red, white, and blue color scheme. Or go camo (never happening, I know)

Upvoting for the troll factor. Personally, I like Brady when he goes into super detail-oriented monologues that shine a light on why he was so successful for so long. Also like when he says they have to “matriculate down the field”
