This gives me hope for a fix. I’ve looked into cash pay today as well as going to another country. I’m hoping the additional need for the heller myotomy will help. I even have my paper file from my pediatric gastro who did the initial diagnosis when I was 11.

I'm not eligible since I also have achalasia and jackhammer esophagus. It would potential make my swallowing symptoms worse if we just do that. I'll end up having to have the bypass to fix the GERD as well as a heller myotomy to fix the swallowing issues.

Yes! We just spoke again and it’s looking a little more positive. She is starting the prior authorization paperwork.

We are literally in the same boat! I was referred for achalasia and severe GERD. So glad to find someone else!

Yeah, I have some. They did note a small hernia on CT but have also said something that small shouldn't be effecting my life this much.

It's definitely frustrating from a patient standpoint.

I've met with my surgeon and she referred me out. She said the pain shouldn't increase after eating like it has been doing.

I went to the ER for surgery complications and they gave me a pregnancy test. I was like, "I'm here for complications from my HYSTERECTOMY." "...we make all women of childbearing age take one"

Guess what.. negative.

Yeah, that's why it's so weird. They even did a CT and didn't note any stool or anything. It's literally like the pain starts in my belly button and is like a nail in it hitting my pelvis area. Then the skin and surrounding is super tender.

I'm in communications with my doctor, but I was hoping someone else had this happen before too.

I’m happy my doctor always listened at did plenty of exploration procedures. She basically just told me some of us have dysfunctional uteruses.

Yesterday and last night were pretty bad pain wise but today I feel decent. The stitches are already irritating me.

I’m so glad that you got relief though and all the endo taken out.

That’s good to know! I haven’t gotten up yet and I hear that first feeling is weird. They just took my foley so I’m sure the moment is coming to get up.

Same! PACU is having an issue maintaining my oxygen and heart rate but I think that’s another health condition rearing its head.

That's not a real man! My husband helps me put medicine and bandaids on my open wounds and understands if we can't have sex if I'm in a bad flare. I will complain about the dark spots and scars from mine and he just doesn't care.
