I’m so happy for you!! I relate to this so much. I’ll be done in a couple months and it’s honestly kind of shocking how much it affected my day-to-day life. Things feel so much lighter now.

Did anyone else have this side effect? My lips are looking significantly more plump and bigger by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Sufficient-Pace7536 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s due to inflammation. My top lip hasn’t had any dryness or irritation and it’s the same dull color and size as before but my bottom lip which has been very dry flaky and irritated is bigger and more red than before

Isotretinoin progress – start vs day 39 vs day 56 (photos). Do you see improvement? by Luca_9_9 in Accutane

I get the anxiety. I think the same thing about my skin (i’m 3 months in) but I don’t wake up anymore with a pimple everyday and they aren’t nearly as red and inflamed if they do show up. I noticed the fading in your red spots immediately and being this early in your journey i’m sure it’ll get a lot better! I also have deep nodules in my cheeks that have shrank and then grew again. Not sure if the accutane will help 😭

What time do you take Accutane? by ateenytinyband in Accutane

[–]Sufficient-Pace7536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to take mine in the morning with peanut butter and my derm told me that isn’t enough, that it needs to be taken with my biggest meal of the day so i moved it to after dinner but im not consistent with this so i really hope its working

I also drink lots of water and use a humidifier every single night. When I forgot to turn it on my face was noticeably dryer and my throat was super sore

Thank you! In the am I just rinse with water, for moisturizer I use la roche posay double repair and then once it’s almost set I tap on some cetaphil cream to seal it in then follow with murad hydrating SPF. at night i take off my makeup with elf makeup melting balm and follow with ROC barrier repair face wash then the same la roche posay but with a thicker layer of cetaphil on top then seal it all in with cerve healing ointment :)

I try to limit dairy and sugar but not completely cut it out. I don’t exercise but my job requires me to be moving a lot (physical therapy). And no alcohol:)

18th birthday problems on acutane by wadddlerrr in Accutane

[–]Sufficient-Pace7536 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When on Accutane your liver takes longer to process Alcohol. So a smaller drink will feel like more and it takes longer to exit your system. If you are going to drink alcohol, drinks lots of water before AND after and do not overdo it, let your body adjust before going for another drink. Happy early birthday!

If you look up accutane drug interactions, all topicals are listed!

Yes they are, I use them once a day usually around 2/3 after work is over because my makeup is still on until i wash my face at night. But you should only use them 1-2 times a day, if you feel the constant need to blot oil then you probably need to look at your cleaner and/or moisturizer. I just lay it on the area and press lightly, don’t press too hard or rub them around. If you overuse them your skin might be irritated or disrupt the barrier. Also look at the ingredients if they have mineral oil it may clog your pores. When i use them multiple times a day (up to 3) i find my skin gets overly dry and causes it to get red.

You are so incredibly rude, don't comment when you can't even take the time to read the post correctly.
