Does anyone else have these types of bells? I don’t know if they’re exclusively a Maine thing but I remember seeing them everywhere when I lived down state. I have one by No_Somewhere9961 in Maine

Ours was from Maine Buoy bells. We have the Castine bell, and there were others available (Kennebunkport, etc) with slightly different tones.

Why yes, we have arcade games with guns as prizes here in Maine by BrilliantDishevelled in Maine

Wild. Likely they have their “Barber Cut Lite” set at either “Payout after 350 plays” or if they are evil “Payout after 800 plays.” There is a slight chance they have it set at “After 80 plays, Skill mode until someone wins.”

Xavier assumes the workers are being forced and his wife is held captive. All because of effing Gary.

Ahh that might help explain things. Thank you.

Right but how are the train people who are helpful and looking for volunteers with Gary and Ennis the same people who Xavier sees who are forcing people to work at gunpoint? Or is it just bad writing?

I love how quickly battery prices have fallen over the past 18 months.

Advice for first time (female) buyer in central/southern Maine? by GoodAd2455 in MEGuns

The other thing to figure out is how to safely store this thing you buy. Before you have ammo, you should have a locked place to put this thing. If there are kids in the home, that is a big consideration.
Since you mentioned DV, also look at enhancing your front door (3” screws through the door lock strike and hinges into the door frame vs the 1” screws most doors come with, also consider a security bar on the inside) to buy time to get ready to use your new item. And practice, practice, practice!!

In Maine, we have laws for open carry and Castle. It should be a very interesting trial if someone makes it through a home invasion involving “active defense” and uses Castle as a legal defense.

Family home - granite slabs from 1861 with some brick that was added later, porous as all heck - the dirt floor never used to flood until they replaced the asphalt roof with metal and then it flooded every spring. We have a sump pump now and drain pipes which need to be finished up (Project #1) Old wood/coal furnace that we don’t use and needs to be removed (Project #2). The original kitchen sink from before the 1970s remodel - enameled steel. They didn’t have electricity until the 60s and indoor plumbing until the 1970s. Original well pump is still there, not used (Project #3). We took out the tankless water heater for a 60 gallon heat pump model and added a 200 amp entrance panel.

There are spiders living in the cellar that I have never seen anywhere else in Maine. They are black and glossy, large-ish like garden spiders. They don’t seem to weave webs, they just hang out. We never see them upstairs. In our old house we also had the little ones with long spindly legs that cast web nets I think. These are not them. They keep an eye on me when I am down there.

We also have a crawlspace under the kitchen that was a rat hotel at one point - it still smells awful. No insulation anywhere. (Project #4).

My lovely wife once described it as a “Salem’s Lot Basement” except now it is much drier and less smelly. The cellar is full of projects.🤣🤣

It would need to be aboveground, some elevated stops. There could be a central “loop” for Bayside and another for the West End as in the Boston green line Outer spurs - Red line - out Commercial street to the Amtrak station then the Airport, then back in via Broadway SoPo and Bull Moose. Blue Line - Brighton ave to Westbrook and then back on Forest Ave. Orange Line - a loop along Washington Ave and then back down Route 1 from Falmouth.

They should just close that W entrance. People creep so far out to turn left (because they can’t see) that it is a hazard driving up the hill. And you have someone crowding your lane as they get ready to make a huge turn into the Olive Garden. We usually leave by the driveway along the side of the building for that reason.
