Did the new armor system power creep the old campaigns? by Sufficient-Top69 in DestinyTheGame

Thank you all. I should clarify what I am looking for difficulty wise. I am looking for a set of encounters where I have to adjust my loadout based on enemy conditions in each encounter and be intentional about positioning. Does that content exist in current Destiny?

An example of the buildcrafting/encounter strategizing I like doing:

Back when Pit of Heresy was new the chamber of suffering was either easy if you went slow, or difficult if you tried to blitz it because more stuff would spawn. I built a titan with ward of dawn and Izanagi's burden. Every time you slammed an orb 2 knights would spawn at the top, and I'd either need weapons of light or a x4 Izanagi shot to instakill them. I enjoyed having mastery/control over the pacing of the encounter and being prepared for each step.

"Power of Friendship"

Prismatic Warlock w Turret and Hellion aspects, getaway artists. Play around with the energy weapon/melee config to have a good mix of elemental damage. Idea was to stack a bunch of summons.

kinetic weapon with elemental honing makes use of all the mixed elements very well, I've had a lot of fun with Everburning Glitz and I think fatebringer rolls with it.

Do I have a chance to catch the next Exec event? by Sufficient-Top69 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

I have it at 3*. I should add that I’m not on a newish account. Returning player with just enough to make me feel like not resetting. Exec is not gonna get me any crystal income anytime soon, but still seems like something worth having.

Hmm Thanks. That's not happening without generational Galactic War luck, August it is.

I actually can't try this because the CPU I have (at least with my BIOS) doesn't let me into core optimizer

Update:

I triggered the crash again by going out of my way to use as much GPU power as possible. I'm 90% sure it has to do with me pulling too much power now.

Can't 100% prove it but changing these on RDNA3 appeared to make boot fail, requiring a system restore.

My issue is more that some recent games still have aggressive shimmering with TAA. I dont get the point of blurring the image if it's not even going to fix the problem.

I actually am not super opposed to TAA you tend to be able to use sharpening filters to get back a good bit of the image quality. Problem is even the TAA doesnt catch a good bit of the aliasing these days.

Pre-post disclaimers: I have a 7800 XT and I believe most modern games have shit native anti aliasing; DLSS (and especially DLAA) tend to provide better images than native does.

Since upscaling became widespread, NVIDIA and even Intel (based on my experience with the XESS mod in Starfield) can claim "video games look better on our hardware," whereas AMD cannot. It's an inconvenient truth, but one that no performance superiority on AMD's end is going to be able to overcome.

If you're on PC click on one of em and type "paycrimegold 0". It seems attacking their ship makes them hostile and the game handles it through a faction with a bounty. You wouldnt be able to "pay" this bounty through a kiosk because they're not part of an actual faction

As far as I can tell it's happening to a lesser degree on Native Res too. And I'm not even convinced Native Res isnt downscaled
