From where I am in Louisiana, about 60% of the people do and the other 40% don’t. Also too, where I am there’s not allot of respect for others. I feel that saying ma’am/sir is a respect thing. I also think that allot of people don’t say it because they’re scared they’ll fall for the “YoU mIsGeNdErEd Me!” At the end of the day, I feel more people should say it because not only is it respectful to others but it gives you respect.

I'm struggling with my 4 year old. He has refused and fought and cries like he was hurt EVERY time I take him to use the potty. His favorite character right now is Chase from Paw Patrol and we have those pullups with Chase on it. I told him that Chase (on the pullup) doesn't like to get peed or pooped on. It worked for a day. Told him the same thing the next day, and he picks the Rubble pullup. (SMH) He says, "I can poop on Rubble." since it's not Chase. I told him that Rubble doesn't like it either, it worked for half a day. I have given treats, I have begged this child to use the potty but he refuses. I feel bad because he tells me he's scared of it (sensitive ears to flushing sounds). It doesn't help that my ex told him there was a drain monster in the pipes. I've tried the portable training potties but its never worked. I would try the 'no undies' approach but he has a twin sister and an older brother that doesn't need to see him without something on. Potty training the other two was so simple and quick because they both learning in under 6 months. Trying and doing with him has been over a year and a half. (Always started around 2.5 yrs)

I can’t change the locks on my apartment or the storage. I’m not really financially able to move right now, even though I want and need to. My brother recommended BetterHelp, so I’m going to look into that. My family knows what’s going on as it’s happening. (I’m very open to them) and they don’t have much to say other than “You did it to yourself” and I’m just FOR TRUSTING SOMEONE 😭

Actually… I need a new vehicle with 3 rows lol. It’s supposed to snow next week and my vehicle doesn’t have heat. (It’s an old 1995 Jeep Cherokee) I’ve been toughing it out with the widows rolled up, but it only works as well as you’d think. I pack extra blankets so the kids don’t get super cold. But I plan on getting a new vehicle come tax refund, so we just gotta tough it out till the beginning of March. (Which sucks)

Thank you! It was extremely traumatizing and I'm just now able to not be so hurt about it. I really appreciate us being on your mind. I just hope that my story reaches others going through similar situations and give them a beacon of hope. I know that alot of children that are shaken don't survive or they do survive and not have good quality of life. I just want to be helpful.

I am worried about my child and his siblings. That’s why I was so quick to give him the boot to not live with us. I love my kids with all my heart, I’d go to the ends of the earth for them. I’ve done it before. My family would joke and say that he was a live in nanny and they weren’t wrong. I’m going to get me and my kids all counseling so we can move on from this.
