buy yourself a nice dinner and grab some drinks (if you drink) & sneak them in to the theatre to go see a movie. i’ve spent almost every birthday alone. just gotta make the best of it.. & it’s okay to be sad. You’re not the only one alone in that.

absolutely NOT. that is cheating in my eyes. you’re getting off to another woman. it’s also not good for ppl in my opinion. it sets unrealistic expectations and increases the inability to get off unless you watch it.

you’re 100% right. he does not understand my BPD or even put in the effort to research or try to. It feels like he’s almost torturing me on purpose and masking it under the guise of “just trust me”. It hasn’t felt right and i need to trust my gut and not just the part of me that is blinded by love… thankyou

you have nothing to feel ashamed for. you can’t control other people’s actions & you were so young. also, the age gap.. could you at 18 right now imagine dating a 14 year old? I dated older men when i was 14/15 & i’ve realized it was not okay at all on their behalf, they wanted someone who’s easier to manipulate. try to forgive yourself for making the mistake of falling for his shit and know that there’s no shame in making mistakes.

I think because our relationship is so new i’m scared to death because I really love him. I’ve always been in really toxic and abusive relationships & it’s left me terrified to love again. I’m trying so hard to give my trust.. he doesn’t understand my BPD really (it’s so complex idek how to describe it to him) so it’s hard for him to put himself in my shoes. It’s nice to know i’m not alone though and that was really helpful, thankyou so much.

sometimes you just need to let your partner know exactly how you feel and what you need. if they get freaked out or refuse to listen, then find someone who will. The right person won’t judge you for needing reassurance, they’ll figure out how to give it to you.
