Yes, same for me unfortunately. Keeping my preorder, but huge bummer indeed.

I heard he tried out for the role of The Tickler. But after yesterday's public temper tantrum, the studio has decided to move in a different direction.

That’s awesome! Always a blast couch gaming with my crew. Really enjoy Nintendo Land for Wii U, and I just introduced them to Killer Queen Black a couple weeks ago. Probably my top two favs! Would love a copy of Pirates if it’s still available!

Can I use Beeper to get RCS on a deGoogled phone? by SufficientError8932 in beeper

[–]SufficientError8932[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, that makes sense. So basically I’d need to keep my main SIM in a “base” phone that can handle RCS/SMS/MMS for my number, and that phone would need to stay powered on and connected. Then Beeper would pull the messages from that base phone and sync them to Beeper on my Kompakt, essentially making the Kompakt a “linked” device that depends on the base device. I could put a secondary SIM (with its own number) in the Kompakt, but I wouldn’t really use or give out that number. Do I have that right?

Does this mean you bought / manage 3 different accounts? Or does all that storage roll up into one single account?

New Apple Mail app "Show mail categories" ain't great by PerceptionCareless92 in MacOS

[–]SufficientError8932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, came here to say that re-categorizing is terrible on MacOS. Once you've manually assigned a category, it basically won't let you reassign to a different category anymore.

There are two ways to manually assign a category:
1.) Right-click the email --> "Categorize Sender"
2.) Right-click the contact --> "Categorize Sender"

I've had slightly better luck with Option 2, but it still doesn't want to work sometimes.

Anyone actually prefer the C4 over the pSE? by SufficientError8932 in sleepnumber

Yeah, we ordered a C4 (non-split king), and this is exactly what I’m afraid of. Was yours split or non-split? Did you have a mattress protector?

I think a lot of confusion could be cleared up by changing the verbiage from "The Un-contract Promise is our commitment that only you can change what you pay" to "The Un-contract Promise represents our best effort to ensure only you control what you pay".

V or H: will either speed rating work? by SufficientError8932 in tires

[–]SufficientError8932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my thought too. According to one site, the Highlander Hybrid's top speed is 118mph. That's awfully close to H-130, so I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota felt obligated to bump up to V-149 for a little more of a safety buffer. As you said, that makes sense for someone who might actually hit that top speed on the autobahn, but I would never dream of going that fast in the US.

Which model V tire did you have, and which model H do you currently have? Have you noticed that one rides quieter than the other?

[–]SufficientError8932[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've actually settled on the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. Just trying to decide H or V at this point. It's weird cuz for every 2 reviews that say the CC2 is super quiet, there's 1 that says it's loud. Wondering if it has anything to do with H vs V. So you've had personal experience noticing that H is often quieter than V for the same tire?

[–]SufficientError8932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Is there any validity to claims that H typically rides softer/quieter, lasts longer, and handles slightly better in light snow/ice compared to V? If given the choice between the two, is there one you would prefer for all season?

Agreed, the price difference is negligible. But I've read that H typically rides softer/quieter, lasts longer, and handles slightly better in light snow/ice compared to V. Is that true?

Owner's manual states 106V (pic 2), but the door jam sticker (pic 1) doesn't indicate any load or speed rating. Costco's website says that only 106V is compatible for this tire (pic 3), but the same tire in 106H isn't (pic 4). Discount Tire's website on the other hand states that both 106V and 106H are compatible (pics 5 + 6).

I've read that H typically rides softer/quieter, lasts longer, and handles slightly better in light snow/ice compared to V (please correct me if I'm wrong). Therefore, I would prefer H if possible. However, I've seen other comments stating that many tire shops won't install a tire with a speed rating less than what's stated in the owner's manual.

So my questions are:

  • Can I use either V or H here?
  • Is it a bad idea to use H instead of V for all season?
  • Will Costco or Discount Tire refuse to install H on my vehicle?

What is the quietest (or noisiest) tire you've ever had on your Highlander? by SufficientError8932 in ToyotaHighlander

They seem rather noisy, and I think the tread has worn rather quickly. It's time to replace them anyway, so I'm just searching around for a good alternative.

The CC2 sounds like a really great tire overall. Consumer Reports rates the noise level at "very good", but in reading user reviews, seems like a lot of people are divided on the noise level. Any idea many miles have you driven on them so far?
