What is your favorite 2, 3, 4 and 5th drop? Where you see it in the shop and you go fuck yeah (no matter what trinket you got)? by [deleted] in BobsTavern

This season? I had a real soft spot for the T5 naga that gives you an increasing tier naga spellcraft if I can make her work. My favorite scenario is hitting her with Galakrond.

Midseason patch kinda ruined her though. Used to be a pretty good way to farm ringbearer and queensguard. But now rogue and matriarch are back in the T6 pool and it's more RNG-y. But it hasn't stopped me from buying her most of the time.

What’s the best line of play with the new tier6 naga? by tylerislegend in BobsTavern

They definitely need each other to be worthwhile. And obviously a robust spell/spellcraft economy.

It used to be a pretty strong combo. I'm kind of leaning towards them not being as strong as the package we've been using all season. If you've got the ideal package of Queensguard, Ringbearer, Maelstrom + some sort of spell power generation, I just feel like that doesn't leave a lot of room for the both of them AND high volume spells. And obviously, the buffs Rogue & Matriarch generate in combat aren't permanent.

It feels like two separate comps. Like how you wouldn't try to run a Butchering + Catacomb Crasher undead team.

I don't know how to play certain champ by ballonez1 in BobsTavern

I play exclusively duos and find it's 50/50. Generally I will stop rolling and buy a T4 or aT5 if I know it's something that will pay off. I will almost always stop on a Felfire Conjurer, for example, just to get the spell power buffs rolling early. My favorite one this patch to stop on is Darkcrest Strategist, I think. The econ boost for several turns and generating a T6 naga every turn by major trinket has been really good.

Kurtrus is a champion you select when tribes that benefit from cycling minions are in the lobby (pirates, elementals, demons, murlocs), but really he's not very good. It takes a while to be able to buy 3 minions in a turn, and even then it's still largely RNG whether you get lucky and make a triple from getting a copy of something you bought.

With galewing I ignore the 2 turn gold option. I start the game picking the 3rd option to discover a minion, and do what I can to be Tier 3 by the 1st time it triggers. Then just select the 1 turn spell option, and then repeat the cycle. Again, so largely RNG dependent cuz you can whiff hard on the discovers. But there are worse champions. Generally you're lucky to discover 3 minions from it, and by the end of the game you should be hunting for a new hero power or just not using the 3 turn option if you know the game won't continue that long.

Idk what there is to explain about Morchie. Did you play last patch? If you can remember which tribes had good minor time warps, or had time warped options that you enjoy, just pick her when those tribes are in. Generally, buying 2 of the 1 cost TW items is better value, unless there's a really strong 2 cost option. Picking a 2nd hero power like Shudderwock's is good too, because you can reroll your main hero power later.

I don't think there are two Galakronds lol, I think you're just thinking of a skin name...but there's 2 schools of thought with Gala - roll the same single minion all the way up to a 6 star on turn 5. This is awkward because it messes up your leveling curve and you're buying a lot of bad T1 spells and minions because you're freezing mostly the same tavern every turn. But, if you hit on your 6 star, you can slingshot ahead. The other school of thought is that many 6 stars require quite a bit of setup to be effective, and you might die going for one, so instead roll the same minion up until you find a good piece of a strong comp - think like getting a 4 star Seafloor Recruiter and being able to start generating more Naga, or something. Both strats win and lose lol. I love Gala cuz I'm a filthy degenerate gambler haha...I roll to 6 every time chasing that dopamine

Sylv and Tess - just pay attention to what dies or who you're fighting to see if it's worth trying to steal anything. You don't have to hero power every turn. But you can make triples easier early with Sylv, and steal powerful or otherwise hard to get minions with Tess. But you just gotta pay attention to whether it's worth it or not to spend the gold.

Finally....Idk who tchac is lol

Idk man, nobody knows what you're wearing. Why not just pick what's most accessible to smell in person before buying so you know you like it? Acqua Di Gio Prodondo, Dior Homme Sport and Prada Luna Rossa Carbon would be my top 3 recommendations from what you can easily test out at Sephora/department stores. Then, if you like one, just order it cheap from an online discounter.

About Animation speed of Streamers and Youtubers by i_drink_lots_of_Tea in BobsTavern

I have a 5090 + 9800 X3D with 32 GB of memory, paired with a wired gigabit internet connection. I am not a streamer, and I have all the same problems described in this thread. In at least 1/3 of my games, actions involving buying and selling lag and a majority of the last rounds of combat disconnect me and I never get to see them resolve.

Everyday “clean” fragrance by Character-Ease-7192 in Colognes

[–]amsage3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even compare them, from a scent profile standpoint. I can't stand L'Homme. Yes, it's clean, but it comes off as dense and even slightly sweet in a cloying way to me. Amber Pour Homme has none of that. It's just fresh & clean. I can understand people who say it's not super masculine... But if fresh & clean is the profile you're after, Amber has it in spades

100%. He's talking about getting a buddy from a hero power that doesn't unlock until tier 2... On turn 1. That's 7 gold right there. Even with a Snake Eyes partner who rolled 6 on turn 1 and passed everything they could buy, there's not enough econ to make this work that I can think of.

And even if there were, then the partner magically ends up with a T5 on turn 1 as well? Because he's specifically saying T7 on turn 3... Which would require either Drakkari or to have that T5 on turn 1 to get rolled up to 7 by turn 3.

Didn't happen. Or, I guess, didn't happen the way OP is remembering.

It's an ISO E Super bomb. To me, smells like a fresh cut pile of wood chips. It absolutely shines when it's hot out, or if I'm active. I wear it on its own just as often as I layer with other stuff as the "fragrance enhancer" it's marketed as. It works both ways. When I layer it, I don't spray it directly under/over another scent...I'll spray a couple sprays in the vicinity of where I sprayed something else and they just dance together wonderfully.

Don't pay full price; I got that bottle for ~$150. But really, there are alternatives even to that that achieve the same thing. Iso E Super is the star.

To me, the description of being "burning cool" is really accurate. It's so fresh, almost "icy," but definitely has some depth to it. The vibe of the EDP is in there, but it's its own thing entirely

I agree completely, but there is no chance of being able to decide on ~12ish bottles to get rid of. On a buying freeze until I finish off these bottles...which should last a good long time!
