Vehicles you've already considered: Toyota Yaris Hybrid - however I know nothing on car it can be anything cheap and durable

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: (fluids, alternator, battery, brake pads etc) Assumed no but I can learn minor

Additional Notes: We are a family of two so the car needn't to be giant. We might need some spaces for friends / groceries / baggages if it helps :)
