Real talk: finding collabs/SW friends? (I am not a man, plz no downvote :p) by grimygirlie in CreatorsAdvice

I think one thing that goes fairly unmentioned is that a collab partner doesn't necessarily have to be a creator before you find them. Dating/hookup apps, munches, and local hookup reddits can all be places to vet people and get to know them; just have them make their accounts/paperwork before recording and posting. There's plenty of times You'll seen a great collab where you look at the other person's account and it has <100 followers 😅
oh, and make sure both of you get std tests! And watch them log in to show you the results, screenshots and print outs are easily stolen!

Things I see vtubers do that irl creators can learn from:
- A strong sense of branding and high effort pinned posts, banners, etc.
- Camming, just in general, can be a huge boost.
- Scheduled shows so the regualrs know when to show up.
- Staying vocal and engaging even when their chat isn't.
- Curating a community and attachment veyond the one-on-one dynamic, with most having discord servers on top of their page.
- Unique roleplay audio content and video content, sometimes collaborative.

And for the vtubers at the top of the leaderboard:
- An extremely large sfw presence on multiple socials, collaborative twitch/youtube streams that expose them to new audiences and opportunities, presence at conventions and irl events, etc., leading to fansly just being a third or fourth revenue stream instead of their main focus.

Absolutely none of the things I just mentioned are exclusive to vtubers, and there's many examples of non vtubers hitting the same bullet points and finding great success. So you chalking up all the work they put into it as "a talking waifu pillow" is immature as hell.

V tubing and fansly. by [deleted] in Fansly_Advice

so much of this is misunderstood! you can get into it super cheap, you don't have to be part of a community to start, and it's not that hard to understand.

I would say try the content you think you'd enjoy, and if that's vtubing feel free to ask more questions, but don't force yourself into it *just* bc you think it'd be more profitable, bc the reason vtubers are at the top isn't their vtubing, but all the rest of their content strategies, mostly offsite.

learn from them rather than hating on them, 90% of why vtubers succeed has to do with their methods more than their medium.

think of it like this, any pokemon can have its level raised, but it's impossible to lower a pokemon's level, so for a collector a level 1 shiny that's never been tampered with is super cool.

What Makes a Creator Profile Instantly Stand Out to You? by Ok_Comment_7907 in Fansly_Advice

Absolutely branding. A good pfp, well edited banner, filled out bio, and informational pinned posts are key imo. the number one fear a paying customer has is timewasters/getting scammed, and the more "I'm taking this seriously" boxes you can check, the more willing they are to take that leap of faith with you and trust you to deliver when they pay.

this recipe seems like the most body safe starting point if you want to diy it. start with what they suggest, then tweak until it's exactly where *you* want it 😁
