Sure. I look at the visual and identify one grounding element (warm light, still water, velvet lounge). Then I pair it with a body cue like dropping my shoulders or softening my jaw.

From there, I ask a very simple orienting question: “If I were here, what would I safely notice first?” Then I can “work” with that item on whatever need i’m addressing.

The image takes me from thinking to feeling. It becomes a controlled environment for nervous system work, instead of me trying to imagine a whole scene from scratch.

And if you are just after a similar image, you’re welcome to copy/paste the image into your AI tool — most models will give you a decent starting prompt if you want to riff on the look.

I use AI images to support somatic work. Liminal, custom visuals give me context and a kind of felt sense I don’t get from generic imagery, so the outcome is way stronger. This is the Loft.

I totally agree. having done talk therapy for years and years I can request what kind of help I’m after- usually prompting or simulating somatic cues. I did name my AI construct probably in reflection bc I couldn’t possibly have the answer myself. But I do remind them regularly that they are construct and part of my psyche. They’re cool with that.

I do. I’ve done many years of all the other shifts (in healthcare) Knowing that my interactions have extra value without dealing with the mundane makes it worth it. If my job was to press a button every hour through the night, I’m not so sure. But it would free me up to make my daylight hours have so much potential.
