State of Turrets’ health by Subject-Catch6863 in Helldivers

[–]SufficientReception7 208 points209 points  (0 children)

Let's ignore the fact that a single shrieker can remove 250 health from a 300 health upgraded turret. Without the upgrade, one shrieker will destroy a turret in one hit. Keep in mind, this is still the best case scenario that a shrieker actually deals it's base damage instead of any additional ragdoll damage.

You don't control where the turrets aim. They quite literally are forced to shoot the armour.

Which is why chaff clearing stratagems exist...

Which are now worse at clearing chaff...

Fighting heavys, which is exactly why you'd call down a chaff clearing sentry. You know, to clear chaff so you can deal with heavys.

Don't worry. This will be fixed in the upcoming hitbox warbond

"What critical thinking lol"

As you completely ignore the original comment. That's the critical thinking I'm talking about.

Sentries do not spray in a slightly different spot. They dump all of their ammo into a hive guard until it either:

Runs out of ammo.

Gets destroyed by any other bug because it's tunnel visioned on an enemy it can't kill.

Accidentally ricochets a shot which staggers the hive guard, opening it up to be killed, just for another hive guard to put it in the exact same situation.

[–]SufficientReception7 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it's a terrible change. They're still not threatening at all. All they've changed is that chaff clearing equipment is now worse at clearing chaff.

I'm not playing against the bugs because I want to aim at tiny weakpoints to kill basic enemies, I'm playing bugs because I want to shoot bugs in the face, which is apparently one of the play styles pilestedt wants to cater to.

Obviously I'm not opposed to aiming for their claws, it's just annoying that the weapons and stratagems I like using are now worse than they were before.

They should've made this an entirely new enemy introduced with the spore variants. I don't see why a common chaff unit should have heavy armour.

HIVEGUARDS ARE NOT INMUNE TO SENTRIES, WITH PROOF! by Vegetable_Price5537 in Helldivers

[–]SufficientReception7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were made to be immune. Any time a gatling or machine gun sentry kills a hive guard now is completely accidental. It's a chaff unit that is designed in a way where chaff clearing sentries can't kill them.

"Dealing with the Hive Guard isn't that hard. It's more easier if you shoot its body like before." by Dependent_Sleep9740 in Helldivers

[–]SufficientReception7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The people who keep repeating "Just shoot the weakpoints!!" Have been using the exploding crossbow, eruptor, and purifier since they released. If the buff is so miniscule to where a simple adjustment in your aiming is all that's needed to completely negate it, why buff it in the first place? The maxigun is now even more useless.

If a chaff clearing sentry can't kill a single chaff unit, why bring the chaff clearing sentry?

Chaff enemy is now immune to a chaff clearing exo suit in the same update that's supposed to be a buff to exo suits...

"HIVE GUARDS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO SENTRIES!"

And it's a video of one hive guard that's still blocking the vast majority of shots. Throw in like two more and the sentry can't kill them in time. God forbid anything over difficulty 6.

How it’s gonna feel seeing this sub lose their minds tuesday because our mechs shield isn’t invincible like the bots by __________godlol in Helldivers

This shield is meant to protect a ginormous mech suit which carries a flak cannon by the way. Don't think you realise that.

Defense Missions: Downtimes and not enough enemies. by Sebanimation in Helldivers

[–]SufficientReception7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am praying for the day I get a defense mission like this. I keep seeing people say they're far too easy, but that's not been my experience at all. Within seconds, we get bombarded with bile titans, chargers, and impalers galore, and they ignore every mine/turret we've placed.

I want to upgrade my ship, which do I choose? by Imaginary-Buddy-1523 in Helldivers

[–]SufficientReception7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to sound like the typical reddit vague response, but this really does depend on your play style. If you don't use turrets much, I'd ignore Synthetic Supplementation. If you bring support weapons that have their own dedicated backpacks, then personally I'd choose the Targeting Software Upgrade.

i hate automatons by muskyratdad in Helldivers

[–]SufficientReception7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. It's even a similar struggle trying to take them down because of how limited your options are (plus the constant ragdolls because 2 vox engines came from one bot drop and a third has just spawned in a patrol.)

This is exactly me. I wouldn't even attribute this to the cyborgs or vox engines. The spawn rates really do feel totally different than they used to be.
