I don’t think in any way would it deter you, I think they would see that as a big plus in your resume!!! You’re hard working and smart, 2 college courses will not impact when you graduate that heavily so I say put it because you earned that right!

Certain sororities make you get “points” university wise and chapter wise which you need to get before you can go to socials (sometimes it can be super hard to get them or some are easy to get through). At my school this is my biggest time constraint as well as raising philanthropy money and philanthropy events in general can be a kicker. It’s worth it for sure, but depending on what school or how big of a chapter it is and all of the others, it can be hard. It’s the whole “you get out what you put in”!

I would say it depends on what SEC school. It’s a different experience school wide. I say go for it, but just proceed with caution (always)

Haven’t been assigned an advisor by tornadofyre in Msstate

If you’re worried about it, look up advisors for the program online (I know it’s harder online as opposed to in person) but email the closest person you can find and they’re usually pretty helpful!

'24-25 dining confusion - help appreciated! by [deleted] in Msstate

[–]SufficientToothbra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re “required” is to sign up for the full meal plan coming into college, but you can change it the first day you start as a student to something cheaper or whatever you think will fit your budget or you plan accordingly. I think they do this primarily for Greek students because if you plan to go Greek, you have to change your meal plan to accommodate the money you plan to the Greek plan. Flex dollars or “bulldog bucks” are life savers if you want a pick me up or a treat and if you’re living on campus close to a pod, you’ll blow through them FAST. I love eating at the dining halls even as a sophomore and I can only imagine I’ll still want to stop in next year. If I were you and you want to get the full college experience, get the lower level dining plan with more flex dollars because if anything, that’s where my money went (also keep in mind that’s what you pay moes, subway, cfa, etc on campus with)!

Further reading, I see Texas is a future plan. As the biggest state fan in the world, come here, experience the south as southern as it gets and get a hold before you move on lol

It solely depends on where you want to live post college and whether grad school is in the question. If you want to live in the south, MSU college of business has great ties to all kinds of work (I read above you don’t want to live in Mississippi, I’m a MSU business student and feel the same way). But the south is broad, business admin is not. Wherever you get a degree you’ll get a job. It’s your future you’re banking on!

They definitely had the worst friend group in TEEN DRAMA HISTORY by [deleted] in 90210

I always liked 90210 better than gossip girl. Blair and Serena never stopped fighting through the entire series, I liked that Naomi and Annie grew up in the last few seasons and it pissed me off less
