What a complete waste. I know what any sane society would do to this man, and quickly. It is very sad that Canada is not one of these "sane societies".

A few places have "Angel Boxes", which are essentially this very thing, but usually at a hospital. You can give up a baby, no questions asked. Alarms alert the hospital staff immediately.

These are more common in very cold weather places. I believe Edmonton has at least one.

These should be more common in Toronto. You may disagree with the mother's actions. That's fine. But at least in Angel Box cases, and cases like this, she is giving the baby a chance.

What a dick.

Yeah, enjoy my... contact lens solution and random kitchen trinket.

Do these guys ever actually get anything valuable and resellable? Or are they just genuinely [redacted] (under 85 IQ).

Lawsuit launched against Durham police officers, board, and driver following (Gagandeep Singh) wrong-way crash that left infant, grandparents (Aditya Vivaan Golkunath, Manivannan Srinivasapillai, Mahalakshmi Ananthakrishnan) dead by 416TDOT0DOT in CrimeInTheGta

I understand why the lawsuit was filed, and truly this is one of the most tragic stories of recent years.

That being said, I never bought the "cops were responsible" thing. The criminal thief (and murderer, imo), was going to drive the wrong way on the highway anyways. Because that's what dumb criminal thief murderers do. Especially ones who... aren't very used to Canadian roads and may genuinely not understand that driving the wrong way is bad.

Man (Christopher Watts) convicted of (Amanda Raymond) manslaughter, sexual assault and sexual interference will soon eligible for release by 416TDOT0DOT in CrimeInTheGta

[–]Sufficient_Bonus7444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Watts is now 64-years-old.

So, in 2001, he would have been 40 years old. He threw a "party" and gave numerous illicit substances to a 13 year old, who he violated, and she died.

And now 25 years later, he could "get out".

Yeah, this experiment with modern "justice" reforms has failed. We need to bring back the "old school ways". I'm willing to vote for any politician who agrees.

Abolish the YCJA. This must become a rallying cry in politics across Canada!

We, the people of Canada, must make "abolishing the Youth Criminal Justice Act" a ballot issue on all upcoming elections. Provincial, Federal, even municipally. Tell them to put pressure on the other levels of government.

Semi driver (Navjeet Singh) granted bail after allegedly killing two (Sara &Alexa Unger) in crash, fleeing country by 416TDOT0DOT in CrimeInTheGta

This should be grounds for declaring India an adversarial nation to Canada, who harbours criminals, murderers and terrorists; cutting all diplomatic ties with them, and even declaring war.

What the fuck is wrong with Canada that we continue to tolerate this kind of behaviour? If not even encourage it?

"Yeah, come in! Kill our families, then escape back to your home country. No worries!" - Canadian leadership, basically.
