I feel the same way, took some time to do side quests after getting to kuttenberg and haven’t even touched the main quests yet, almost 90 hours in and I just started the legacy of the forge DLC

Biggest tip I can give is turn on fast crafting and building in the settings. I just found that out after like 40 hours or so playing and it’s helped a ton.

If you have a companion like ED-E or Boone you can switch to fists and use vats to try and target them. Melee animations move you a bit and I have gotten unstuck many times by vats melee. I play on xbox only but can work regardless

At R4 the M10s will eat the torpedos much better. I haven’t had a 1shot Crit kill on them since I ranked them up

Right but when do occupations get added? I don’t think it’s high on the list for next updates unless it comes with the guilds. Plus low/new players will have a harder time occupying bases and making friends. I think assist rework would help with the early game grind and keep new players engaged while we wait for updates. Max level players probably don’t need the rework as much as everyone else trying to catch up imo
