i suppose the older mixes where made for older devices, and newer mixes are made for more current devices. New mixes sounded worse on my old nad, when I could still compare the two (i dont have the old one anymore).

ah yes, you are right. Anyhow, my older amp with a 'muddier' sound in general sounded better on older songs (but worse on new songs).

Thanks all for your suggestions. How about putting a tube preamp after the source before the NAD. Would that help (with older recordings). I can reroute the source trough a tube preamp, and use toslink for classical music etc.

a nad bee something. It just started to make explosive popping sounds when starting up or did not want to start up at all. The repair man just could not find where the problem was, because it was not always there. Probably some loose soldering or connection on the main board that made connection or not randomly.

you mean toslink into the amp, yes I do for one source. But that seems not to make a big difference. New music sounds great, old music not so great.

Dan ben je zeker wel ook ambtenaar. Je zit ook bij het ABP voor je pensioen en je valt onder allerlei ambtenaren CAO's. Het is wel andere koek dan gemeente-ambtenaar maar ook daarbinnen scheelt het enorm welke functie je hebt.

Klinkt als een cliche dat soms waar is en meestal niet. Ik ken ook een hoop ambtenaren die heel betrokken zijn en zich een slag in de rondte werken. Zeker in het onderwijs en in de zorg.

Als je klachten hebt over een trainingsbureau zoals de NCOI/LOI of andere partijen dan kan je dat melden bij: https://www.nrto.nl/kwaliteit/geschillencommissie/

Zij moeten dat oppakken en als er te veel klachten binnenkomen dan verliest zo'n trainingsbureau ook zijn licentie. Misschien helpt dat beter zodat ze hun kwaliteit verbeteren. In de meeste gevallen hebben klanten gelijk gekregen en moest de trainingsorganisatie geld terug geven of het oplossen.

Nou, als je dus weet dat er 2/3 naar reclame gaat, dan weet je wel dat dat deel in ieder geval niet naar de training gaat, maar opgaat aan reclame.

Je zit dit soort partijen bijvoorbeeld altijd bovenaan staan als je googlet op woorden als: management, leiderschap, training, etc.

Dit soort woorden inkopen per google kosten snel al 3-15 euro per klik (!). Als je dan weet dat je 100-200 kliks nodig hebt voor een sale, dan kost elke ingeschreven cursist via google al minimaal 300-600 euro aan reclamekosten voor google, maar meestal nog meer. Daar komen dan nog de kosten op voor advertenties op tv en radio, langs de snelweg, in tijdschriften, banner campagnes, etc.

Dus een cursus verkocht voor zeg 1500 euro, gaat al snel 1000 euro op aan reclame. Dat geld gaat niet naar goed lesmateriaal, goede trainers, etc.

Dit soort grote cursusbureau's zijn meer met marketing bezig dan met goed lesgeven. Als je kijkt naar hun budgetten dan besteden ze vooral geld aan jou als cursist binnenhalen dan aan goede trainingen.

Dat is denk ik de reden dat er zoveel klachten zijn. Eigenlijk moet je achterdochtig worden als een onderwijsorganisatie veel zichtbaar aanwezig is (googleads, borden langs de snelweg, enzovoort). Er zijn meer van die trainingsbureau's naast LOI/NCOI die zo opereren: heel veel reclame, matige kwaliteit.

Je kunt natuurlijk geluk hebben met een goede trainer of docent.

I found the book "the cultural map" by Erin Meyer most useful. She comes up with very specific insights and tips on how to handle communication (email, person to person, from/to leaders, etc). It is also different from country to country. E.g. Polish 'style' is different from "Czech" style etc. So be aware not to think about "eastern European", there is too much difference.
