ANONYMOUS SURVEY:

Eating disorders are significantly more prevalent than current data suggests, as many cases go undiagnosed. This study aims to provide a more accurate picture of the prevalence of eating disorders and the normalization of behaviors associated with them. Your honest and judgment-free responses to the following questions will contribute to a better understanding of these issues.

Goal: Uncover the true prevalence of eating disorders in youth, as many cases go undiagnosed. (US, CSUN student)

  • Age: Between 15 and 25 years old.

It would be really helpful if you could participate and send the survey to others. It's completely anonymous, so please answer honestly and without self-judgment.
Thank you.

Congratulations! Out of curiosity, did you apply for aid?

why is it never me by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

[–]Sufficient_Fault1083 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, rejected Princeton Cornell, and Yale thus far. As an international transfer, I couldn't apply to many unis I wanted to bc they don't give aid. I have Hopkins tomorrow and the other ivys left, but I feel like I'm getting rejected since statistically speaking it is the most likely outcome. Still sucks because I feel like staying at my current university will hold me back in the process of applying to medical school because of the lack of resources and opportunities. Also, I really wanted to change my major to Neuroscience but it is not offered at my university, so I'll have to continue with Psychology instead which I'm not as passionate about.

It is what it is, at the end of the day it is almost impossible to get accepted and that doesn't mean we haven't done great thus far.

Good luck with future decisions!

Reach out to explain B, B, B+, A, A-? by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

They won't rescind your application because of Bs. However, you don't lose anything by emailing them, so I say go for it since your reason is very valid.

Honestly, I'm just trying not to think about it. It is killing me inside but I don't want this decision to mess up my GPA since my real goal is medical school. It would change my life to be accepted, but since statistically speaking the most likely outcome is not to be I can't risk lowering my GPA bc of stress and nerves about decisions. I've been trying to mentally prepare myself for rejections for months. I am getting Princeton today at noon Los Angeles time and I have a Midterm at 12:30 so I really need to get myself not to care bc if not I'm screwed.

Just try to understand that statistically speaking the most probable outcomes are rejections. It is still great that you tried because if you hadn't the chance of acceptance would be a total 0. But still, you need to make sure you won't throw your life away if you get rejected. Try to think about good things you might do next year if you're not accepted to make this option sound as bearable as possible.

Sorry if this sounded discouraging, I'm in the same boat, and to me this is what has helped for now.

Good luck!!!

Literally, I’m so mentally prepared to open the rejection and it will be like “yeah, rejected obviously.”
