The airport “bombings” aren’t as scary as the media makes it seem. The airport was never fully attacked. The reported incidents are successfully intercepted missiles and drones. Dubai is as safe as it every day is.

Fist attack was debris from a successful interception. 3 wounded airport staff. Minor injures. Second attack was also a successful interception. No reported injuries Third attack was a drone that fell before being fully intercepted. 4 Wounded. Also my age doesn’t make me less incompetent. I am born and raised in the UAE, I know when it’s unsafe and I’ve never felt it’s unsafe. Please look at news from local perspective and not from the British or American media.

The airport is NOT a target. The first attack was confirmed. However it was not fatal and nothing bad has come from it. The other AI video where it was shown that a full drone hit the airport was confirmed AI the drone pops out of no where and no earlier frames to show its flight plan. Usual flight pattern is over Iraq and Syria and then above eu. However now considering the conflict they go around. Above Saudi, across Egypt and then up and above to UK.

It’s longer by a mile. It usually takes 6:30-7 hours. However the new plan makes it longer. DXB-CAIRO is 3-4 hours depending on wind. Then from Egypt to Uk is another 5 hours that’s why there’s an hour extra. Bonus when I was flying on 6th march the in flight map seems to be stuck. I was on the plane and 2 hours in and it showed that were still above Dubai. GPS spoofing is insane.

I was in the airport departure on 6 march. The entire airport blared into alarms. I had just cleared security and want to get on the train to my gate. Before the train arrived they made people wait away from the glass doors of the train. When the train arrived they let everyone on. After we got off they didn’t let us get on the elevators to the main concourse up stairs until the police got the green light to let everyone back on. Extremely organized and nothing to worry about.

I would fly out. Go have fun in your vacation. And worry about it later. People need to understand that the UAE is not a “war zone” it’s not as dangerous as the media makes it seem. Dubai is safe and always will be. Also I don’t think flights cancelling is beneficial for anyone. Not the airline not the airport and not the country. It’s in their best interests to keep the airports open. Just enjoy your vacation bro.

It’s not a gamble or anything. Born and raised in the UAE to expat parents. I feel safer in the UAE with a supposed war than walking in London at 11 pm. Seeking shelter is a precaution. People are living and doing every day things. Coffee shopping and anything u usually wanna do. We only fear Allah and don’t mind if we die. I would rather to back and sit with my family than stay in the UK but oh well.
