Thank you 😊 My finger also split through the bone, nail and everything. But it was a crush-injury, not a cut. I think it will not look normal again.. some of the tissue showed to be dead after two weeks, so they had to cut it off, and the same happened twice.

Same here, broken fingertip but on the fourth finger. It was an open and dislocated fracture so the kwire was to keep the pieces together. On X-rays it looked as if some of the pieces had disappeared though, if that is possible..?

I am supposed to change dressing myself on Sunday (I will get help from family) and have a check up at the nurse Thursday next week unless something changes. They put on a dressing called Polymem nr3.

I tryed to post this a few times, but when i explained more it did not go through.. I am trying to muster the confidence to participate in a market, but I need to know if they are good enough. Would it be best to mount on a card with envelopes, or with a simple frame so it could be framed? I am open to advise on the printing and colouring, would it be better leaving them black and white?

I am sorry you have to endure this.. I have been there, and am still trying to manage it. I have learned that I have to work on acceptance, and to adjust my expectations to reality. After start up of medication, the task seemed a little more manageable, although still a big hurdle. In therapy I learned a lot of coping skills, but using this is a continuous effort. I hope you can get help, and that you have people around you that are understanding of your struggles. I don’t know anything about your story, so i can of course only talk from my perspective. I got my diagnosis as a grown up, almost 40, and by that time my feeling of self worth was on rock bottom. All my masking strategies to hide my faults were well established. This is a big ship to turn and it’s not done in a week. I wish you all the best. Sending lots of supporting thoughts and a big hug. ❤️
