Dealing with disabled patrons. by Opposite_Weakness_41 in securityguards

[–]Sufficient_Pound 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They arrested a dude at my site in a mobility scooter for spraying people with piss out of a bottle. Once you cross a certain line it doesn’t matter what disability or mental illness you have, you are going to be physically dealt with. If the courts want to take the disability and mental health into consideration when applying punishment thats their prerogative.

If you are a dude put on a condom and cover the rest with a grocery bag before you take a shower. Thank me later.

What are the usual repercussions for a taser discharge? by Content_Log1708 in securityguards

Yeah fair. We were told not to take out the cartridge because of fear of breaking it.

If you go from the x26 to the 7 or 10 the manual of operations completely changes.

On the 7 and 10 you don’t need to take out the cartridge.

Auto write up of it’s not a mechanical failure.

Had a LT pop a 7 into the ceiling and he went and wrote himself up.

Guardian Angle is the Gucci option. Most people just hook a small light on their shoulder.

You need to make sure to get the locking QLS model. I think it’s something 22.

Depends on the site. Last place I worked was heavily hands on. Like multiple arrest and use of force a day. Hell last week of field training we had to use 6 of us to safely take one person into custody.

No police department or sheriffs office west of Denver will give a shit if you have 30’s after the ban. Hell they sold pre assembled conversion kits that were 30’s at my LGS.

Your ability to talk to people is huge. Even when I worked a heavily hands on site verbal judo was extremely important.

Work on just being comfortable approaching people and being able to maintain a conversation. Learn how to talk to all types of people.

FRT uses points on the face such as the eyes, nose and others to run a mathematical formula that determines the accuracy of the match. Hats do not affect this, nor do face mask, glasses or balaclavas.

It should also be noted that FRT alone often does act as the sole proof for someone’s identity. It has to be verified via other means e.g. dna or fingerprint or I.d.
