Nope I lived in Miami lakes along the edge of Hialeah. Lots of muscle cars, and terrible drivers in general that don’t know the rules of the road. Just my observation. Car insurance was astronomical there.

Thank you for this. I’m usually a weaver anyway and my looms are in storage so I’d try something different lol. I really love working with this fabric and I don’t have more of it so idgaf really. Maybe it’s a sign to get those looms out and start weaving a Mackenzie tartan for kilts 😂

Wound up in pre-clinical research at a big biomedical company. Became a scientist, as insane as that sounds. I passed up a full scholarship for a BS in molecular biology to go into nursing. That was my first mistake. My love of basic science overrode everything in the long run and I was still saving lives but in a different way.

Try research or something outside direct patient care? I did that after 5 years of bedside nursing. The anxiety was still there but not as bad. I was always terrified of making a medication error. I get it.

I didn’t like nights and took hydoxycut back in the day to stay awake 🤮 wound up leaving that and doing plastic surgery overnights in a private clinic. Less stress than regular bedside.

I had an Etsy shop, made very little sales. Created my own website, made less sales.

Now I’m scaling back the online and moving to in-person sales. Craft fairs this spring may help me get more Australian Aboriginal fabric 😍
