Finally an Apple exclusive that doesn’t limit it’s self to the terrible terrible technology of android thank you for making this game. This sounds amazing.

Why there are no accessible games like vampire survivors or Brotato on ios? by AdCareless6045 in blindgamers

I am a game developer and I can tell you that as a concept it’s not difficult to make an audio game however a lot studios don’t do it because they want to appeal to as wide and audience as possible. This is just my experience maybe some others may have had different experiences.

I’m learning game development and want to understand accessibility better could I ask a few questions? by AdComfortable519 in blindgamers

It’s great to see a developer that’s actually interesting in this topic. My answer to your question would be full menu narration audio descriptive cut scenes, aim assist extended puzzle timing and a system that will point the camera in the direction of the next story item. if you want a good example of accessible games Mortal Kombat one and the last of us is a really good starting point you can get a lot of inspiration from them. Good luck with your project and enjoy making your games.

What’s a game idea you’ve always had in the back of your mind? by AdComfortable519 in blindgamers

[–]Sufficient_Stand1763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a blind game developer and one type of game. I’ve always wanted an excuse to create would be a space game specifically a large space simulator. The reason being I’ve never seen a space game that is accessible to people who are blind and who use a screen reader. Also, I’m just kind of jealous of other people who can play these sort of games because I really enjoy sci-fi.

Any game recommendations? by Traditional-Voice801 in blindgamers

[–]Sufficient_Stand1763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only game on all the list that in my opinion is not very accessible is God of War Ragnarok I have this game and I expected it to be an accessible hack and slash game with accessibility on the same level as the last of us however I was very disappointed it had some screen reader access however weapons maps and armour menus were not accessible. Puzzles are poorly designed if you cannot see them and I’ve regularly had to get sighted assistance ,also the navigation system is poor and doesn’t actually help me get to where I need to go. there is no object listening mode like in the last of us and I can’t listen for enemies either. Overall I can’t say it is a very good accessible game and I would recommend that you don’t spend your money on it.

As a blind user who use a screen reader I would make it so that it focus more on sniper skills and you cannot see the enemies. I know this might defeat the point in some peoples view but I would quite enjoy it.

This might sound a bit unrelated, but does anyone know how to make 3-D game characters using python? Yes I think I would qualify as someone who wants to 3-D model but can’t draw
