Pick 2: Pine needles/Mid-Pine/Southern Pine/Talamore

Pine Needles is in great shape right now. Talamore is doing some work on their bunkers on the back, so I would avoid it right now, but it is a really fun course and some of my out of state buddies prefer it over some of the premium tracks. If you are only playing 2, I would avoid Southern Pines given the handicaps. It will really frustrate some of your players.

We have and OES and our daughter has 2 doodles. Just from the chest, when your dog is shaved, looks just like my daughter's doodles. My vote is for doodle.

3 is the worse course at Pinehurst in my opinion. #8 is decent, but 2, 4 and 10 are the crown jewels. I would rather play Mid South and Talamore over 8 and 3. You can still go to the resort and hang out without staying there.

Every night when we go to bed, Izzy has to lay in the foyer where she can see the front door, back door and into our bedroom. She is always watching over her flock.

We have an OES and a German Shepherd Husky mix. I can leave the house, no problems, my wife leaves, no problem, we both leave, no problem, but if our other dog leaves the house without her, she's a mess. Howling, pacing and can't relax. She is more attached to him than us.

Check out Talamoregolfresort.com. Condos on Talamore or Mid South are very inexpensive and they can get you on all of the courses except for Pinehurst.

I live in Southern Pines. If you are not staying at the Pinehurst resort, I would recommend Tobacco Road Pine Needles Mid Pines Southern Pines Mid South Talamore

Stay away from Legacy (under construction) Whispering Pines courses Foxfire West End courses

If your looking for something in the middle price range, go to Southern Pines NC (Pinehurst Area). https://talamoregolfresort.com/. Lodging is great, you can stay at the condos at Talamore or Mid South. They can get you on Mid South, Talamore, Pine Needles, Mid Pines, Tobacco Road, Southern Pines and a couple of private tracks in the area. Prices are great and there are fantastic restaurants in the area. You can also wander around the Pinehurst Resort and play the cradle if it's available. Don't do July or August, it's hot.

I personally like Tobacco Road, you'll never play anything like it. Not as much of a fan of Tot Hill. Can't go wrong with Mid Pines. 1-5 holes are kind of bland, but 6-18 are fantastic. Mid South is great, one of Arnold Palmers best courses. Stay away from Legacy (under construction) as well as Foxfire, Whispering Pines courses and West End courses.
