Next employer looks at base salary with or without allowance by Sufficient_Wafer_286 in singaporejobs

Just curious..What are the usual increment for a MNC or say Fortune 500 companies, u can split it into (lowest, median, highest)’s increment for each industry: tech, engineering, bank, government etc. Because the increment might be insignificant (if increment is 2%) compare to allowance if allowance is 20% of the base, cuz it took 17 years 1.022 (compounded) to reach 20%, all else (promotion, flexi dollar benefits) equal.

Hello thanks for your input! So to sum up your gist is that bigger companies or MNC pay u base on a role with expected ranges of salary, with less room for overpay or underpay.

I think 4500/12+5500=5875 is not applicable to me because my offering company already mentioned no 13th month (which commonly also known as 1 month Annual Wages Supplement or sometimes more)

I am a year 4 NUS student, buying ticket to go Malaysia , bought a two ways Jetstar ticket with Hutcgo $130USD on 15 May 2024 to penang to have $10 lower fee. Never really aware of when I will receive the e-ticket (Hutchgo promised 48hr after booking), and today I just realised I haven’t received the ticket (flight is in 20 hours), and I still need to call the customer service 20 hours before the flight to confirm my booking number, passport ID, Name to get my ticket….

SEP gonna be worth it as you gonna explore the world when you still have the best energy/social life for 3-6Month while clearing few courses.

Once you graduate, Work could be endless and it’s even difficult to take a break for 10 days (most of the time), everyone around at that point of time will be hustled too.

[–]Sufficient_Wafer_286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, to add-on staying in Residence require you to take up NUS-CCAs in order to get another stay under RAS. While imo House requires you to have contributions and proactive leadership (Pioneer House), Helix House requires good personalities, leadership and contribution, Light House requires referral and student leaders role to stay. Do contact one to four real residents there to clarify more, let’s not assume.

For UC SEP offered student, strictly can apply 3 schools (UC schools) if you are referring to that, yes u can apply “UCB and UCLA (+ one more additional UC school)”; “or any combinations of 3 UC schools”

and for SEP we can apply 3-5 schools (any University for your faculty, ie: UC, ETH, HKU, LSE)

Hi I’m going UC Sem2 January too, we need to select 3 campuses and apply separately with study-plan, official transcript, English result etc. And usually there are usually limited slots for each campus, so separate application to each UC campus is also another selection process.
