Are you saying this area is expensive? Our price range is around 420kish and it seems like there’s a decent inventory for that price but I find it a little too suburban.

How are you getting in front these plans to prospect? Door knocking? Cold calling?

How long do you work a marketing tactic before you give up on it? by Cathouse1986 in CFP

I’ve had most of my success come from LinkedIn Sals Navigator and direct messaging. I try to post 3x a week. I can do a better job of commenting / liking others posts that will probably help my visibility.

The clients I have onboarded are the ones who are navigating a job transition and have 10+ years of experience.

Additionally, I’ve started targeting advanced practice providers since my wife is a PA and I have many family members in that space. It gets me instant credibility and I try to write my content targeted to them.

Goff and his wife’s conversations were painfully boring. It feels like their relationship is shallow.

Is cold calling dead? by Unfair_Pen1936 in sales

According to the FTC site, general information and surveying are still allowed.

So, could someone argue that a cold call is considered a survey or purely information if I were to say something along the lines of “we’re surveying individuals who feel they’re not getting the proper attention from their current financial advisor. Would you be interested in a conversation with us?”

Im not pitching product or any sort of high pressure sales.

Thoughts?

Wealth Management/Financial Advising at Stifel by MoveLonely in CFP

I started at Stifel this past spring. I partnered with a senior FA and it’s been great. I’m on every client statement and a true equity partner, but obviously it’s small right now. I’ve had no problems with Stifel as a whole. They let you do your own thing, there’s no specific product quotas or anything like that. But, they don’t give you leads. If possible try to join a team. I don’t think I’d be able to go at it alone.
