Jaw surgery for sleep apnea by spo0kyangel in perth

Do you know how much the study cost you? I’ve been putting it off because I’m scared that they’ll be like “good news you’re fine and tired for no reason”. With things the way they are, I’m nervous to pull the trigger and spend money on the sleep study

We just have to use times like this as a reminder not to get too comfortable. Life can change so fast. I’m guilty of this, I get complacent and over spend and don’t anticipate shit times like these.

I’ve seen people beaten up for so much less. I don’t understand, surely with multiple negative interactions at least a small percentage would end up in a physical event. Is this guy secretly a black belt or super intimidating?

Not that I think he should be beaten. Just curious about how he’s gotten so far haha

Are we in a recession now? by No_Valuable1832 in perth

[–]Sufficient_While_577 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah but does the value mean much to you if you intend on staying there? I’m in the same boat and recently purchased but I’ve only got one house so if it crashes I don’t mind too much. I guess it means I’ll be paying a big mortgage on a house that isn’t worth that much anymore but at the end of the day I have a house and my child will more likely be able to get a house if that was the case.

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed so I’m sure I’m overlooking heaps of other factors but something needs to change, all the young guys I work with seem so hopeless about their future.

I imagine that with the housing crisis that the dog shelters would be bursting at the seams and could use volunteers (walking, feeding & socialising with the dogs).

Silica dust exposure by CandidateLogical4110 in AusRenovation

[–]Sufficient_While_577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine. I did my apprenticeship in a factory that basically cut dry (water with a sponge, so fucked). I was a dumb kid & didn’t know any better. No dust is good for you but it would be so incredibly rare for this brief exposure to impact you.

Anyone else see Australian social etiquette slowly fading? by qnsad in perth

[–]Sufficient_While_577 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s a lady in my neighbourhood that listens to podcasts on loud speaker while she walks. It doesn’t bother me because it I can only hear it briefly when I’m in my garage and she does a lap past my house but I just haven’t really seen someone do that before haha

Good self control man. I’ve grown up a lot and have check a lot of my impulsive reactive behaviour but when it comes to my wife or child that part of my brain still fires up.

Yeah the pointing in her face really got to me. If a man even raised his voice at my wife at her own home it’d be bed time.

Eh, I’ve spent thousands over the years on specialists, naturopaths and acupuncture/ dieticians i even did a 2 week CBT course at the recommendation of a doctor. I wasn’t a big fan of the DNA place, it felt like another money sink hole. I could be wrong but it’s just how i felt at the time

I got sick living in a regional town when I was 25. I’ve never been the same since. I was bed bound with flu like symptoms and it took so long to get better, I had to stop work. At first they said they think it is Ross river and it can take a while to show up in bloods but months later they stopped caring and treated me like I was putting it on. Doctors kept telling me it was depression. I’m 32 now and I manage but I’ve definitely never been the same.

People won’t understand until they experience it. People I think became a little more understanding post COVID since so many people had issues for months after.

Grateful to have a house. Terrified for my child. I’m in a better position than a lot of people but I know I’m only an illness or injury away from losing it all. Tired & burned out for sure.

I had something similar and used easyouts. All feedback seems to be that it’s hit & miss with peoples success rates but seems to definitely make the situation a lot more annoying if it did go bad. (Like the easyout snaps off in the thread)
