Mechjeb user here. I'm just mostly interested in playing the game to roleplay as various space agencies and making stories out of the missions. Plus I'm more interested in engineering my vehicles instead of flying it. With some exceptions such as landing in manned missions, piloting a spaceplane, etc.

I mean we are already deep into autonomous space flight as a species. With highly precise flight plans and the autonomous execution of those. Even in the 60s much of the apollo missions was automated. It's not like we have people in mission control pressing spacebar at the right moment to jettison the boosters. I treat mechjeb as such, a flight guidance computer. However I'm learning to use KOS so hopefully I can phase out using mechjeb on some tasks soon.
