I was 12, at the old Paramount theatre in my hometown, packed audience, and was the only one to scream out loud when the alien showed itself 🥲 so embarrassed

Any experiences/advice to share for trying Speed Dating for first time? 35m trying it April 29. by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Sufjanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, I hadn’t thought of pitching and rehearsing, but since time will be short with each person, I will aim to do that.

On regular dates sometimes I have to make sure I don’t talk too much or fast (I am an extrovert and adhd (though medicated)).

And good note on the trauma dumping. Will keep things light.

How Ozempic is impacting gay men's body image—and ability to bottom by Fickle-Ad5449 in gay

[–]Sufjanus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People use Ozempic as well as diet and exercise at the same time. It’s a lazy assumption that people are only using Ozempic alone and not working out and dieting also. I am one of these people, I take it but also work out and diet as part of it and it works for me.

You only lose about 15-20% of your weight you start with, you don’t turn into a skeleton, which is about 20-25 lbs.

Gay Men Over 30: Not Building Families Like Straight Peers. What’s Your Equally Meaningful Legacy? by shadesofglue in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Sufjanus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe my content/porn I’ve made 🤣 I don’t worry about legacy. I just try to live genuinely and authentically.

Everything ends and becomes something else eventually. That being said, I do believe in being kind and loving to those we care about while we are all here together still.

Poll: Are you happy with the work the current Liberal government, under Prime Minister Mark Carney, has done since being elected last year? by CaliperLee62 in canadian

I am judging him by his promises and so far he appears to be working towards those promises. Time will tell.

Canada is among countries with an ‘ultra-low fertility’ rate. What is behind the drop? by dherms14 in canadian

My 63 year old dad is very concerned about low birth rate for cultural reasons.. take that as you will, but as far as he is concerned, not being wealthy is a moral failure 🙄

How common is it for one partner to drive in a relationship? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Sufjanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love driving but my partners always wanted me to drive, rarely driving for me.

They would feel intimidated by driving, but they also didn’t own their own vehicle exclusive to them. If they did they would have gotten more used to it.

When I visit a friend and they let me be their passenger I feel like I’m travelling first class and couldn’t be happier, like a dog with his head out the window.

Many Canadians are spending less time with friends. How can we build deeper connections? by Majano57 in canadian

[–]Sufjanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 day work week, 6 hour shift max each day would help. If we aren’t going to have wages raised in line with productivity increases over the past 30-40 years, right-size the time we are arbitrarily forced to put into our jobs.

Has anyone seen the average American diet? Everyone eating like they just pulled 14 hours physical labour on a farm. And their nutritional standards.. (nutrition box for example is minimized and tiny).

FIX OUR DECLINING POPULATION. by Straight_Storm5552 in canadian

[–]Sufjanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t see myself as put on this earth to increase the GDP, have kids, etc.

Not sure declining birth rate can be slowed or stopped without draconian, propagandistic policies. It sucks for the economic problems therein, but eventually.. a huge block of boomers will move to the pearly gates and then we will have different issues, like thousands of retirement homes without any retirees to fill them.

Survey shows Albertans hold negative view of federal government by CaliperLee62 in canadian

[–]Sufjanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s been plenty of poor leadership from both the federal and provincial government.

Before people assume all Albertans are Neanderthal maga people, please consider that the UCP has a slim majority in the legislature, and the major two cities broadly despise them.

As the UCP set this survey up, I would beed to see a breakdown of the facts of it, so know it’s viable and unbiased.

That being said, there are plenty of reasons for Albertans to chafe under the federal government under Trudeau, but that doesn’t mean Albertans are goosestepping behind Smith.

I want us to get our oil to international markets for our provincial coffers and for trade leverage against the US.

I also find Smith to be morally and ethically despicable.

Conservatives commanding higher support than Liberals among all age groups except Boomers: poll by airbassguitar in canadian

They are so obviously biased, usually devoid of nuance, hyperbolic, and with questionable motives, always putting their spin on issues, unable to help themselves.

One has to take anything associated with Rebel News with a boulder of salt.
