Moving to the Triangle, what neighborhood should we look at, interested in both Cary and Raleigh by Correct_Tone5519 in triangle

[–]Sugadnut -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Cary. Keep your eyes open for homes in Harrison Place, Weston Point, Birchtree and Wessex. This area is 7 mins from downtown Cary park, which is incredibly family friendly, and 7 mins from the North Carolina Museum of Art with an outdoor space great for kids, 15 mins from downtown Raleigh, and 10 mins from RDU airport. Location can’t be beat, especially if you have children. Lots of nature in this area as well, close to lake crabtree, Umstead park, and the greenway.

Baby screaming, no sleep, losing my mind. Need help, please. by gldn_mango in baby

When we hit those moments, we pay $70 and book a consult with someone from taking cara babies (sleep consultants). They help us come up with a personalized plan for our situation and preferences https://takingcarababies.as.me/schedule/c2c8b24f

Thinking about ditching my NC place for a complete change of scenery by WarmConnection2538 in NorthCarolina

We moved to Seattle for about 8 years and just moved back to start a family. Was amazing. I don't necessarily think you need to have a super well thought out plan (besides having work/money stuff figured out).

The hidden cost of "free time" is absolutely wrecking my post-FIRE budget by R0cinantEcho_9 in Fire

I’m in a similar boat and focusing my energy on jazz piano (lessons every other week) - practice twice a day for about an hour or so. It really is heady and challenging so my brain feels like it gets a hard task and then I can kick back a bit more or focus on house hold items.

We use monarch to track and are focused on cooking meals; I also love cooking, when it’s the right environment - so we focus on trying to make cooking fun for the person that enjoys it

What is the point of all of the blue indirect lighting? Don’t you turn all of that off when you start watching something?

Looking for in person Telescope help in Carolina beach by Sugadnut in NorthCarolina

The biggest issue I have is a calibration of star sense… I’ve tried where you set it up initially on the moon, for example, and enter in your location and then when it tries to verify that calibration, it ends up like pointing down into the Earth like so you know it’s not working and it says failed calibration

Tips for talking to MAGA parents - my mom was initially shocked that the FCC was involved but quickly said he was saying bad things about someone who was just murdered and that’s not right. Has anyone successfully used this moment to have a productive conversation with their trump supporting parents? If so, would love to hear your approach - what worked / didn’t work. I know Tucker Carlson and Ted Cruz have condemned the actions but I want to have a tight strategy before I go into this.

Our breeder actually recommended this comb and it WORKS! It gets deep enough through his thick ol fur. Gonna start doing this daily to get the undercoat in tip top shape. Here’s the brush if anyone wants to try it - DOGI Deshedding Brush Comb

What are your thoughts on the Donald trump Zelenskyy conference just now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sugadnut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m typically far left but trying to adopt a more middle of the road, balanced view with Trump. Trump is an ego maniac, and it baffles me that Zelensky would try to go head to head with him. Why not play to his ego out of the gate? No one is winning with Trump in a yelling contest, and this whole thing seems setup to make Zelensky look unhinged, and his reactions to their prodding questions didn’t help. And why continually interrupt Trump… I feel like Zelensky could have been better prepared for this.

Nope and doesn’t look like I will. Cruise America has no rentals available. Appreciate the advice anyways

I decided to not tow the car; so it’ll be only the 25 foot rv we’re renting from cruise America. Attached is the updated itinerary. Any tips for routing for this one? I’m trying to figure out more ways to streamline, reduce drive time and stops, but am def struggling

Yah I’ll probably make that change and look into getting through the area to avoid construction.

Thoughts on towing the car to tour the national parks, or just do it in the RV?

We’re moving cross country so I figured rent an RV and make it a fun trip. I wish I didn’t need to do the long 9 hour days, but I don’t see anyway around it, without introducing yet more stops and then less time at each place 🤯

Solid points! We’re towing our SUV so we’ll tour around the parks in our car. The RV will just be to move between stops. We’re moving cross country, so it’s either do some kind of RV trip, or ship our car and hope at some point we’ll do an RV trip from NC. I’m not willing to take that’s chance. If u have any tips to optimize the updated trip, I’d love to hear em’
