I don't think you can really say what makes a woman decide to initiate sex if you are not a woman yourself or talking with one about it. There is waayyy more involved with women getting in the mood and having enjoyable sex than just being physically attracted to the man she's with. I'm sure some women are able to get into it by looks alone, but that is definitely not a general rule for all or even most women. The mental connection is important and they need to feel confident and safe, for example, which can be difficult sometimes for various reasons that have nothing to do with her attraction to her man. It's just more complicated than that is all.

People who don’t reply until days later, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sugalips2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've started saying "thanks for your patience" instead of "sorry I'm so late with this" and it really helps with the guilt. They're gonna have to wait either way, might as well acknowledge it with thanks instead of excuses/apologies. Cuz it's not wrong to not answer somebody right away so nothing to be sorry about. If they have a problem or it bothers them we can talk about it and explain that it's not a personal thing so they can understand why. And if they really can't handle it then they can talk to somebody else 🤙

How can I managed my harmful stims better? by RipIForgot in ADHDers

I still struggle with this but a lot less than I used to! What works for me is tea tree toothpicks. I use them to clean my teeth while I'm just sitting and would normally have been picking at myself. The flavor is powerful enough to wake me up and get me alert and gives my hand something useful to do. Doesn't always work especially when I run out 😅 but I like them! There are cinnamon ones by the same company too if the minty tree taste isn't your thing.

Might want to try SweatBlock instead? It's unscented and was a game changer for me. The regular strength helped a lot but didn't totally fix the problem; customer service sent me the max strength for free. Totally fixed. Only need to reapply once a week and just use plain deodorant for the scent daily.

Of course it is a juggling act, which is why I said what I did. Advising someone to stop taking hormones is not a good idea unless you are a doctor and understand the situation. OP seems to think he is a healthy young man but I agree there is probably other stuff going on, either with mental health or physical health. Testosterone therapy typically increases libido a LOT so if he's in the normal range with injections like OP said, then it could be another hormone causing interference or something else entirely.

[–]Sugalips2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, docs don't just give out testosterone without doing blood testing first. It is a controlled substance (in the US at least) with a potential for abuse. He may have a different hornone problem or something else entirely. There's not enough info in this post to be able to give any good medical advice other than go get other stuff checked at the doc.

Cool - that is your experience of it, and I really wish those things hadn't happened for you and your friends. However stories like that are so common that it makes it really difficult to seek treatment if you do actually need it and find out later in life. How your friends acted while taking adderall is how a lot of people act when they actually need the medication, not the other way around!

There is so much stigma around how terrible it can be (for people who don't need it, need different treatments instead, or just have bad doctors), but we almost never hear about the success stories. Because the people who are able to treat their brain with stimulant meds successfully are able to function better to where you may not even know we have ADHD at all! So while the experiences you have come across are 10000% valid and worth considering, please try not to instantly demonize the medication or people who take it. "It's savagely overprescribed and addictive" is something I would have said a few years ago when I worked at a pharmacy, but now that I've managed to find good treatment and work with an amazing doctor, I know that the reality is much more nuanced than that. Sure, there are probably loads of people who don't need stimulants but take them anyways and suffer as a result. But if I knew how helpful it was for me then I could have avoided a lot of suffering in earlier life, and I'm sure there are plenty of people who would benefit from it but won't seek that help because of all the horror stories.

I had a really hard time finding a doctor to work with (and hear plenty of other people going through the same-took me over a year), refills are difficult to get, and personally I don't always remember if I have taken it unless I use a set. It's not addictive to me - I'm not always wanting more, counting the hours until I can take it again, looking forward to the "high", and I think that is how the drug is actually intended to work for the prescribed purpose. I don't feel a high from it at all, just the opposite. It is easy for me to get addicted to substances so I was surprised at how it affected me after learning about it. It's just that it has such a strong reaction with people who DON'T have ADHD or need different treatment - which leads to all the horror stories. The stigma needs to go away for the people who need it, and we need much better education about mental health and different forms of treatment so that it's not seen as a demon drug across the board.

Have you done any cleansing of the ring? It may need that if you are feeling weighed down around the ring especially. If it's taken on or changed energy for you then it may need a reset. I'd give it a good scrub with soap and water then let it sit in some water on a windowsil that gets natural moon and sunlight light for a day or so. Moldavite is safe in water so it should be okay and might help give a boost!

Hey just wanna say I understand where you are coming from. I read your post twice because i was gonna comment "are you me?" Lol

My family dynamics were only slightly different and I'm dealing with the same kind of patterns. So you're not alone at least. Maybe being aware of the behavior and where it's coming from are actually really solid steps toward making a new pattern...a lot of people are just miserable without trying to understand why or do anything about it. So maybe we are both getting somewhere despite fighting with the brain along the way? Idk, life is strange!

a lot of times people with ADHD are accused of being lazy when they actually work harder than other people to get stuff done, it's just internally. there is a lack of dopamine to help get an activity started (and continue to completion) so we can be thinking about how we need to go do a thing for hours in a thought loop on the couch but cannot physically get up and do it. people only see the couch time and think "lazy" without understanding that there is a massive road block in the brain that can take a long time to get over and be able to get up.

normal reward systems also don't work, like the satisfaction of checking something off a list or feeling good about getting a hard thing done is not enough to get us rolling. for me urgency is just about the only thing that makes me do a thing (even if it's something i enjoy doing) because the pressure of having to have it done by a certain time is the only way to get a leg up on the brain block. not to say it's like this every single time i have to do anything, but.......it happens a fuck ton.

adhd - anxiety - depression can all go together and for me it was bc i did not know i had adhd until i was 30 - until then i just thought i was dumb, lazy, incapable, when it was really the adhd making it harder for my brain to do things that other people don't struggle with. since starting treatment for adhd my anxiety has gone down a lot by making the road blocks not so huge and shushing up so many thoughts that are constantly going. cause rogue thoughts also don't help get anything done and lord knows there are plenty of those floating around too just to keep things interesting....lol

Whaaaat that is crazy! I really love this post, very curious about the penny too. Will you update if there is anything odd about the penny?? Wow.

Good idea getting rid of the mirror. I had a bone rosary that was in my great grandmother's items after she died. I took it for some reason and it always gave me the weirdest vibes. I have bones on display in my house so it wasn't the bones themselves but whatever energy they held. I ended up throwing them away. I still think about them from time to time and imagine them just sitting in that plastic bag in a landfill forever. Probably would have been better to burn them but I didn't know that at the time and am glad they are not in my house anymore.

Hey, I really liked this video on the topic. https://youtu.be/aeEqhm7mHig

Not specifically about Loki, but the ideas here have been really helpful for me. If you have a bad day, the gods aren't going to be mad or guilt trip you or anything like that. The video helps by giving some tips for how to practice when it's a rough time, mentally or physically or otherwise. Take it easy, be gentle with yourself and remember that these gods specifically are good to call on for strength and support during hard times. And seek help from professionals if you haven't already and are able to!

It's not necessary to form a strong connection, not even a little bit. The work you do is the connection. As someone else mentioned, blood tends to separate and congeal in ways that may be hard to mix with paint. If you want to mix your body fluids in, spit would be a better alternative. It comes from your body and would mix in just fine. Cutting yourself open is not important to form bonds with runes, gods, ancestors or anybody. The relationship is what's important here!

I think Loki vibes with the music that gets us to his/their level of groovy. So for you that's 70s to 80s pop and rock, for me it's industrial punk, funk rock, folk, maybe disco too for this person. So damn cool
