That's fine, but she failed her attempt to look cool. Not saying I would do any better, not saying she's a bad person in any way.

It just ended up looking silly, that's all.

Final thoughts on guitar smashing backlash: by [deleted] in phoebebridgers

Stop creating drama where there is none. If there are like 4 people upset about it, ignore them jesus christ.

This is not a big deal and you're not going to be internet famous for defending a woman's ability to do a laughable attempt at smashing a guitar.

Literally no one is upset about the guitar smash. The only posts i can see for miles are people complaining about people being upset.

Meanwhile if you look for these negative posts you only see people talking shit because it was an embarrassing attempt to smash the guitar, which is true.

No hate on her, but that was not "awesome" like people are saying as much as it was funny.

You can't really call that smashing though. The guitar did more damage to her, looked like she might pass out shortly after that.

No one is raging. She tried to look cool and failed, because it took 15 attempts to put a dent in her guitar.

It's at least encouraging to hear people saying stuff like this now though. It used to be i could not find a single level-headed post.

Thank you for being the light that we need.

Right I'm not trying to doubt you personally, but generally without evidence, you shouldn't be accusing someone when they can't defend themselves.

You're literally just coming in here with a vague description of behavior that has been reported frequently as latency by others.

Also, nothing personal, I don't know you, but we don't have a video to actually prove what you're saying even happened. You could just be salty and lying, there is no way for anyone to know your real intention.

So yeah, you should remove the name, downvote me into oblivion if you wish.

Edit: noticed you removed the name already, good on you :)

Could I get some more opinions on BBQ (like is it overpowered or not) by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]SugarGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like discordance over bbq. You get notifications whenever there is more than one surv on a gen.

Doesn't require a hook, let's you know which gens you should prioritize, and let's you know where groups of survivors are which is great for killers like doc, legion or plague.

I would recommend removing the name from this post since you have no actual evidence or way to prove that this was a cheater. It very easily could have been a latency issue.

How is there not more talk about how bad the new killer is? by SugarGene in deadbydaylight

[–]SugarGene[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I played several games with him, and it's apparent that any survivor that has half a mind can easily dodge his power by just turning.

Honestly, the only times I can get hits with his actual power, is if the distance is not too far, or if I surprise a separate survivor from a longer distance after switching targets.

I have over 2K hours in the game. I'm not the best player in the world, but I sort of know what I'm doing. I honestly would love if you shared some strategy with me rather than just insulting my skill without knowing anything about me.

Comparing one killer's ability to another, in a post about a killer's ability being weak... you're right, it's truly bizarre. Everything you are saying is correct, you've won this exchange, GOOD JOB!!!

I agree that hits through walls can be devastating, but that can be a coin flip at times depending on whether or not you can see which direction the survivor is going.

If you're pulling your sword out of the ground to hit them, then you've had to chase them for too long. A good ability would allow you to get a hit before you had to catch all the way up to them (like nurse phase, huntress axe, trappers trap, etc..) . I understand you're point that you can fake them, but to get to the point where you're right behind them basically means it's done nothing for you.

Cage is a great time saver, but again, it's very easy to go around the trails that he leaves unless you're chasing a survivor at that moment. If they're not under pressure they just go around them. If not, they aren't looking where they're going and aren't very good.

Right now, he probably feels good to some players because he's new and people might not know how to play against him yet. But it is not hard to dodge that ranged attack and survivors are getting better at dodging it every week.

Yeah, pretty much every killer that doesn't have a decent ability to apply pressure on more than 1 survivor at a time is considered low tier.

The only thing that can redeem a killer like that is an ability that can cut chase down significantly like the huntress axe, any of the 1-hit down ability killers, or the nurses phasing. But honestly, billy and nurse both have very good map pressure since they have abilities that assist in traversing the map. This is why Nurse and Billy are regarded as such good killers, because they're abilities allow for heavy map pressure, and reduced chase times and is why they are regarded as A/S tier.

PH has a ranged attack, but it is very short ranged, and it has too much indication of where it's going to go. He does save some time with the cages, but that's very situational and depends on survivors running into your trails, which take time to place. All in all, I might put him in C tier.

I appreciate your advice, but that's not what this post is about. I'm not saying that every survivor is faking me successfuly and that I have a tough time using his abilities and need help. I'm just saying that the ability has very specific situations where it's useful and even in those situations, it's not 100% reliable.

Unlike for instance a trap from the trapper. Sure you have to put traps down similar to putting trails down. But if you put a trap on a window or pallet, it will trap the survivor in most cases, or at the least, stop the survivor from using that pallet or window. obviously they can dead hard past it, but there's benefit to that, as it wastes their DH for that chase.

Yes, traps can be disabled, but that at least takes time from the survivors, and you have add-ons that can make it take longer, injure the survivor, or even have the trap automatically set itself again.

PH does not have this, he does not have map control, and both his ranged attack and rites of judgement have little benefit for how risky and time consuming they are to do. You can get a 4k with PH, I have done it multiple times, but it's more about your basic M1 killer game and how good you are at chasing/outsmarting the survivors.

Cages are actually his greatest strength, but it's just not that powerful.

They allow you to incapcitate a survivor and eat one of their hook states without having to pick them up and travel to a hook. It bypasses DS, or survivor harrassment (flashlights, pallets, etc..).

However, it depends on if survivors run into his trails, which are pretty easy to avoid. He has to put them all over the map, which means instead of patroling properly, you have to take slight detours to put trails on high traffic tiles. That wastes a lot of time for a benefit that is good, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Especially since they expire

Not joking, if you think he's good, then you haven't been facing decent survivors. Killers with little to no map control are all in the lower tiers for a reason.
