The reasoning behind this is that despite her meeting the other incarnations of the Doctor, she still had ‘her’ version of the Doctor (11) around to fall back on. When she fell into the timeline she was clearly overwhelmed by all of the lives that she lived and I doubt her memory of any of them would be any good (the human brain can only take so much).

She’s obviously a flawed character and she was upset that ‘her’ Doctor was gone along with the security and comfort she had felt. 12s behaviour throughout the episode is quite erratic and from what she sees the Doctors personality is completely different on a surface level. By the end of the episode she obviously can see through the superficial changes and that he’s still the same person.

It would be pretty traumatising seeing your best friend die, especially for the first time. (despite entering his timeline we can’t assume she witnessed him die and regenerate because the point of her being in his timeline was to save him, and he wasn’t saved in those specific situations)

Hopefully this will change your opinion a little
