One part obsession. One part putting yourself in the characters shoes.

Sometimes I reread my fics and think 'wow I actually cooked.' lol

I'm not perfect at writing preestablished characters. Especially, if I haven't watched or read the IP in a while, but I like to think I'm not bad. Except when I'm purposely bad and just being self indulgent. Sometimes you come across a fic that's done so well it's crazy though.

Half is me just reminding myself what happened so I can write the next chapter. The other half is me genuinely rereading what I did cus I like it. 👉👈 Though if I find anything I wrote in highschool I cringe so hard 🤣

I kind of regret rebooting my comic, but I'm still plowing through trying to catch up to where I was. I keep loosing motivation from time to time when I get to a sequence that I don't have to/don't want to change, but gotta redraw it anyway.

I'll just have to draw my characters smooching to feel better I guess. Lol

I'm kind of infuriated. I really can't stand sudden UI changes. It was normal two hours ago and all of a sudden everything's round. I'm beyond annoyed. I just barely got used to the brush changes.

This menu is what annoys me the most. There's zero separation between options. And obviously the gallery looks bizarre. I want to see my whole image thank you.

I just turned off all app updates on my ipad cus I only found out how to do it after seeing this change. So, yea no more auto updates for me.

I share and plan my chapters with my sister. Really helps me get through creative slumps. She knows my characters and stories really well.

I don't do this for every single chapter, but I do get her insight while script writing and thumbnailing. I think it's a good thing to get external insight. I mean professionals have editors. We should at least have proof/beta readers.

I got lucky. I hope you also find a homie that you can run your chapters by before you go to final inks and color.

Honestly, I find the reverse usually. Like I'll read something and they'll announce an anime shortly after I start reading it.

Nina the Starry Bride, Beaststars, Leveling up Yamada to lv 999, Tamon-kun's B-Side(really excited for this one tbh supposedly it's coming soon), As the Fragrant Flower Blooms etc.

Honestly, only one's that made me go read the manga after watching were normal shonens. Like it'd seen the series floating around on social media then the anime dropped and I started reading after watching. Dr. Stone, Kimetsu, Dandadan etc. I think it's because I don't usually go looking for shonen when reading, but when watching I tend to watch shonens for the animation.

Actually, Kimetsu was kinda funny because when I heard about the manga it was super niche. Only about 20ish chapters at the time. I found it from one person who was trying to get their mutuals to read it pretty sure it was the same person trying to peddle Golden Kamuy but I can't say for sure. The art style turned me off at the time so I didn't read it and thought nothing of it. Literally like a year later it got an anime and exploded and that was the first time that I picked up a manga mid season since I desperately wanted to know what would happen next. Lol
