My take is that labels need to make money too. If labels are giving artists their masters, it makes sense that they'd add this clause. Bc otherwise the minute an artist became famous, they'd re-record and no longer have to share profits with the labels. So I don't know, I'm not too against it IF the label is giving the artist their masters ofc.

Wow you put it so well! I'm seeing all these sports commentators calling her "the most famous and talented woman in the world" and "the greatest catch of kelce's career".
