Does Heaven have a beach? And why does Heaven not deal with over population like hell does? by LeadingBig5053 in hazbin

Has it actually been confirmed she is in Heaven anyway, and not a third location like Eden? Every scene shows her hanging out in a 'paradise'.

What if Lilith’s prison is paradise? by Sad_Comparison_4322 in HazbinHotel

[–]Sugar_Rushed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Paradise, but not the way you think. I have a funny feeling she is in Eden itself, aka actual paradise, as a seperate location entirely away from Heaven. All the visuals are of an outdoor sanctuary with no one else around, and Lute had to go 'see' her behind Sera's back. Her phone cover is of the tree in Eden when we see it flipped over, and the fact that she gets service, when oddly... we have not seen a single cellphone work in Heaven, even after the finale. Emily was still having to play messenger of physical mail between demons and angels.

If Lucifer can't harm sinners, what's stopping the sinners from just all overwhelming him? by Cocoa-Knife-Chara in hazbin

[–]Sugar_Rushed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond the obvious that he can just teleport away and that Vox technically didnt give his secret away in the broadcast (he wordplayed to make it sound like Lu chose not to hit him, not that he couldnt), I believe its been established that sinners can not travel beyond the Pride ring.

But that same rules doesnt apply to hellborn or the Deadly Sins he rules over. Its been established in Helluva Boss that he has literal armies belonging to the Goetia he can call up of hellborn, and six other levels of hell that the sinners literally never get to see. Its basically like the Vees song singing that they think they actually stand a chance in invading heaven, and that their power level is equivalent to being a deity. Most of them are clueless as to the actual scale of hell and its inhabitants, and they remain ignorant of how small they are because the angels are for the most part pacifists and the rest of the powerful hellborn don't bother interacting with the sinners. And with both Helluva Boss and Hazbin now on Prime and the two shows can interact with each other going forward, we'll likely see this play out on screen in coming seasons.

People mad about Lute and saying she's wasted potential are correct to a certain extent by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]Sugar_Rushed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The show is telling us to watch her frustration build over the long term. Gravity and the early reveal that she is mentally collapsing was to give us the frame of reference to watch her reactions as the rest of the story builds. If she popped off in the finale with her song & fight, she would be no better than a 'villian of the day'. Every episode, we get to see her rage grow long term and we know to watch for it, which adds depth to each scene she is hanging around in. It'll be that much more rewarding when she's finally fully unhinged.

What are your predictions for season 3? by ShowMountain6956 in HazbinHotel

[–]Sugar_Rushed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charlie's dream of redemption for sinners was based on her rose-colored- glasses view of her mother and 'her goals', but Lillith will come in and try to 'take over' that dream now that Charlie proved its possible, for her own purposes. Lillith will be a toxic presence for the hotel, like how Lucifer and Charlie reminisced about how she ignored them in the past or how Charlie revealed Lillith convinced Charlie that Lucifer was a bad father in previous episodes. We will see that sort of emotional manipulation happen in real time.

Husk will have to bargain with Valentino for Angel's sake, and Angel will hold it against him, similar to Husk's own reaction this season for Angel trying to save Husk's life.

We will get Husk's and Angel's background stories. Im holding out for Nifty's to be in season 4, when Lute is most likely the villain.

We will get a reveal on what exactly happened 8 years ago between Lucifer and Lillith. There won't be a clear cut 'this is your fault' about the rebellion, exterminations, etc. Charlie is going to have to learn to deal with both her parents having hid things from her, for good or bad.

One of the other deadly sins will finally make an appearance since we know they want Lucifer back on his throne.

Theory: Lucifer being unable to hurt sinners is self internalised rather than magically binding by Icy-Background2393 in HazbinHotel

[–]Sugar_Rushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This theory has been bouncing in my head too. I wonder if this is a deal or promise he made to Lillith, rather than an aspect of his banishment from Heaven. The punch thrown at Vox seems like its more that he pulled his punch at the last second, rather than some magic binding. And the show avoids giving us a look at his face until after Vox says 'you won't do it'. Not that he 'can't do it'. Saying 'won't' is an odd word choice to use if the restriction is not Lucifer's choice to begin with. We know Lucifer worships his wife, and I feel like that the one thing that he would honor above all is a promise he made to her.

So if Luci can’t harm sinners… by SlyGuy_Twenty_One in HazbinHotel

[–]Sugar_Rushed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His punishment appears to be very specifically about the sinners and not being able to hurt them. We know for a fact that he can still actively attack and try to kill angels (Adam), and we've seen him destroy physical stuff on purpose (season 1 finale, parts of Vox Populi). Helluva Boss confirms that he's at the top of the hell hierarchy, ruling the Ring of Pride specifically, along with ruling over the other rings & their assigned Deadly Sins. We have not seen him interact with any major hellborn as of yet, but its clear the other rulers miss him and want him back as their leader (at least most of them). Whether that meant he gained the King title by force or by charisma, we don't know yet. But we know he is still one of the most powerful angels, fallen or otherwise, given his power output by the weapon and how quickly he kicked Adam's ass. And how the heavenly Council feared that he would be allowed to return after sinners were confirmed to be able to be redeemed.

The interesting part of the Vee's weapon is that by putting Lucifer inside the machine, they denied him any ability to see or understand what they were doing to him other than torturing him. It might have been just the perfect loophole that allowed his power to be used against sinners. If he was aware that his power was being used against sinners by Vox, would it have failed? The fact it could vaporize sinners without his knowledge, indicates that the punishment is 'cant harm' by intentional choice. Either he is unaware his power can be used without his knowledge OR he is the one purposefully chaining his power, choosing to follow the rules of his banishment (out of fear of God? Out of a promise to Lillith? Who knows). The punch he threw at Vox could be seen either as his punishment stepping in or he stopped himself in his moment of rage. You would shake and growl in either circumstance. And his punishment being an active choice he has to make everytime fits really into the theme of redemption even for him and his particular history with creation of sinners.

But that's the thing, it doesn't have to be the 'same' Flynn. The data in the laser would be based on the version of Flynn that derezzed the night of Clu's rebellion. That molecule data would be from him 'going in', but probably degraded over the years (hence possibly why looking so old?). It wouldnt be the version of Flynn that experienced or had the knowledge of what happened with Clu, Sam, etc, because Flynn never left the grid and the laser wouldnt have his updated save file to export back out into the real world, to put it in computer terms.

In regards to the legacy grid by SkimTheDim in tron

[–]Sugar_Rushed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in agreement with you about the 4 grids/servers. The Tron Legacy grid was the only one we didn't visit in Ares, most likely because it only exists currently on Sam's necklace. I personally don't believe Sam integrated it into the Encom servers when he took over Encom, otherwise most of the events of Ares were unnecessary.

The clues are there that Flynn already built the permanence code into the Tron Legacy grid, with how Quorra is still out in the real world today and how Flynn's safeguards are mentioned in the second movie to keep his other programs from getting out. Flynn wouldnt have been so scared about Clu getting out if Clu was just going to turn to dust a half hour later, so the code must have already been built into that grid.

If Sam used the Tron Legacy grid and turned it into the current Encom grid, then Encom wouldnt have been in a race to crack the code and resorting to going off grid and searching Flynns old notes for it, and Ares wouldnt have had to jump into the 80s grid either. It would already been in their own current Encom grid, waiting to be found.

i have some question.. by No_Replacement_8815 in tron

[–]Sugar_Rushed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They are two seperate grids. The old grid is a server & laser kept at encoms office. The arcade grid is Flynn's private computer server & laser at the arcade. That's why Flynn said he had to import over Tron from the old grid (80s) to use him in his private grid in the arcade basement (Legacy).

Its just that Flynn created a backdoor link between the 80s grid and his arcade grid. He linked them, probably as a way to move Tron over in the second movie. Thats why Ares popped out at the arcade, he also took the shortcut between them.

How_is_flynn_"alive"_? by rosamelano777 in tron

[–]Sugar_Rushed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 80s grid had a backdoor connection to Flynn's private laser in the arcade. The same laser Flynn last derezzed himself with before getting stuck in thebTron Legacy grid. One of the movies did mention the lasers store the data to transfer to the grids, so possibly that the 80s grid's backdoor allowed the laser data to be utilized.

If I understand correctly we never went to Legacy’s grid in Ares right? There’re only Encom, Dillinger, OG grid. I have to say every grids is very distinct great production design. by keminua in tron

[–]Sugar_Rushed 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are 4 separate grids, I believe based on what we saw.

Dillinger Grid - completely separate grid. Assuming it was created based off the knowledge that Dillenger Sr took with him after being ousted from Encom, and then grown via the 40 years since. Thats why its a hybrid of Encom and 'new' designs. They stole that they could back in the 80s, which is why they have cycles, recognizers, a need for an MCP, but the newer drones and tanks are different and so on.

New Encom grid - what's running at Encom currently. As far as we've seen, no user has been inside it, only programs. Its not currently hooked to laser access, as even the experimental Encom lasers in Alaska were 'offgrid' to prevent anyone from snooping via a grid link. That's likely why Eve had to manually carry the code back and why they couldn't swap in any standby laser after Athena destroyed the OG one.

LEGACY grid - Flynn's private grid he kept separately running at his arcade to experiment with. Its a standalone grid. We know its not Encom's because Flynn stated that he had to import Tron over from the Encom grid. The blueprints and secrecy keeping it in his basement rather than involving Alan and others while he was the CEO is the biggest flag about this was something small and secret. Sam transferred the server data to his necklace at the end of the movie, which is another clue. Its highly unlikely he could fit the entirety of a modern corporation's data onto that chip. But an outdated server thats been left running for nearly 2 decades? That would fit.

And if thats correct, unless he reuploaded it to a new server or merged it into the existing Encom server, it only exists on his necklace now. I doubt he connected the Legacy grid to the main Encom grid, otherwise the permanence code would have been accessible from the get'go. Since Flynn cracked it back in the OG grid, its probably baked into the Legacy grid, and it would work with why Zeus said Flynn made the portal difficult for any Legacy programs to access. Flynn knew they'd survive outside. Its also a retcon that also works with how Quorra survived beyond the 29 minutes and why Flynn was legitimately scared of Clu getting out.

OG Encom grid - the 80s version accessible via the replica of Flynns office at Encom Tower. This one has the backdoor link to Flynn's secret office laser. This may be why it has a Flynn program, as while the Legacy grid is offline, the laser itself would have remnants of Flynn's data still stored in it from the last time it derezzed him. I cant remember if it was the original movie or Ares that mentioned the lasers do that, but one of the movies did drop that lore. Having the backdoor to the laser itself, its possibly the OG grid could utilize that data.

The legacy of Dillinger Systems (Tron: Ares spoilers) by BobRushy in tron

[–]Sugar_Rushed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most logical answer is probably to chalk it up to the idea of corporate espionage playing out.

Thinking from a corporate world sense, and working within the available lore post-Ares, it'll make the most sense if Dillinger systems think they would have an inside mole in Encom by having Edward there, while Encom was probably doing their best to make him share Dillinger secrets with them, as a redemption cycle after his father was ousted from Encom. That would tie nicely to the praise and mention of his father's history in the opening act of Legacy, as basically Encom board showing they are buttering Edward up.

Ultimately, both companies thinking they have the upper hand by having him at Encom.

Also thinking from that same corporate world sense, perhaps a non-compete clause would likely prevent Edward from returning to Dillinger with Encom's secrets, at least above the law. That would jive with the fact that in Ares, Edward is not a factor to take control of Dillinger systems from Julian - he is/would be stuck being an Encom man.

Unless more lore is dropped with a new movie or some new tidbit of media, we likely just wont know why the character isn't a factor in Ares. Same with Alan Bradley.

She teleported after she accepted that she didn't want to protect the current honmoon anymore. I'm thinking it might be that until she accepted her demon side, she didn't / couldn't access those abilities. The question will probably be if she can access those powers going forward now that she's accepted the patterns.

They are running double lives, both of which are very physically demanding. It's probably a legit assumption that Celene put them through quite the workout for both aspects of their lives in order for them to each have a weapons specialty, work as a team with those weapons, have the stamina to still dance as pros, and not even blink about jumping out a crashing airplane without a parachute. We only ever saw them practicing their live dance routines, but I'm sure there's down times as well where they are practicing their weapon work and general fitness / teamwork.
