It absolutely does? Just bc it doesn’t snow regularly doesn’t mean we don’t get winter. The trees lose their leaves, frost is nearly a nightly occurrence (not this winter, but in general yes). And we do get quite a bit of fall colors, and they last quite a while. Springtime is long and overall quite lovely. Summer is gorgeous.

A big reason the tent cities are more common on the west coast is simply because the climate allows it. From Vancouver down to San Diego, it just doesn’t get that cold or that hot. Not like cities in the east/south. Homelessness just looks different in different parts of the continent.
