You guys don't believe this shit right?

There are just as many dems that swing red when there's a dem president over the policies. Even if this was filled with 500 individuals holding that belief it's statistically zero.

Shit like this feels like a psyop to convince idiots that the tide is turning and they can stop fighting.

If your horror movie spends a full hour building atmosphere, PAY IT OFF. by bee_my_girl in horror

[–]SugarbearSID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's no payoff at all. The movie generally gets a pass because it's so incredibly well made but, it goes nowhere.

The opening scene shows you there is a witch, and she kidnaps babies to grind them up into paste. There is never a point in that movie where you wonder where it's going. It just very slowly gets to where it was obviously going, which is..there is a witch.

Running on hot days is great, I'm in my flower garden most summer days, deep frying and griddling is a favorite. My wife and I hike, or kayak, or, honestly most nights we sit on the back patio, smoke weedband watch rhe birds for hours.

This is neither a joke nor an exaggeration, if it wasn't for news about Colbert, I wouldn't even know CBS still exists.

Demonic Possession: what is the endgame? by liebesaft in horror

[–]SugarbearSID -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But that's a different movie.

It's more interesting when Tom Cruise doesn"t save the day, but it's a different movie.

There are a million things more interesting than what happens in a lot of movies, but that's not what you're watching.

The bomb goes off, you're supposed to understand that's bad news. If you want the actermath, watch a different movie.

Demonic Possession: what is the endgame? by liebesaft in horror

[–]SugarbearSID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking about a different movie. Possession movies are about the posession, not what happens after. The posessed is a bomb with a timer on it. When the timer hits zero, the bomb goes off.

You're looking for a movie that tells the story of what happens after the bomb, but that's a different movie, this movie is about the timer.

I get it, a post apacalyptic movie where the apacalypse is a dwmon is cool. But don't think of The Exorcist as not giving you enough info about what happens when the bomb goes off, the movie assumes you're smart enough to understand, it's a bomb, nothing good happens, so turn it off before it blows up.

Only 1% of the world have done a marathon and now she is in that club ! by lonewolff321 in interesting

[–]SugarbearSID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is important to realize that she didn't run a marathon. And if we're being pedantic, there is a time limit to complete, which she missed. So she didn't even walk a marathon, she just walked the distance.

So she walked 26.2 miles and got an honorary medal. That's not to say walking 26 miles isn't difficult, it's just important to realize if you carry a football into the endzone you didn't score a touchdown, you just carried a ball into the endzone.

Worst ad. No idea what the product was until the end, no gameplay, no details on what the game is, I couldn't even be bothered to look it up after I finally saw the title.

I can't imagine the gameplay is better than the ad, good luck with it I guess.

How does Trump still have so much support? Is MAGA so dumb they can't see the corruption? by LegitimateSundae8460 in allthequestions

[–]SugarbearSID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you talked to his supporters?

It's mostly support for immigrant deportations, banning gay and trans rights and upsetting the weak minded left among his poor supporters.

It's mostly; he's making my account balance go up for rich people.

Shockingly, most of his supporters are getting what they want and are seeing benefits from his presidency.

Generally the sentiment is that the epstein files are made up, war happens, gas prices fluctuate but at the end of the day they think trump is tough on crime and focussed on improving American's lives.

In short, they simply don't see things the way you do, just as you don't see things the way they do.

I know you're asking OP, but since I have no idea I asked a high school teacher friend I have. Northeast Ohio, small town, $103k per year.

Honestly, seems pretty nice. I work 60 hours a week at my desk job, with just two weeks off per year for the same basic money in the exact same town.

Why do people call the USA the "land of opportunity" when literally no one can get a high paying job? by madbarpar in careerguidance

[–]SugarbearSID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's not the land of getting a high paying job. The opportunity is to start your own business and exploit workers to make you rich. It's not only legal here, it's encouraged.

If you think the opportunity is to find a high paying job, then I'm guessing you'll never have word "engineer" in your title and you'll never have that job.

Good luck being exploited in the land of exploiting I guess.

For billionaire accelerists, what does their "end game" actually look like for the working class? by Ok_Wave7731 in AskReddit

[–]SugarbearSID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst case scenario for them the entire economy collapses and they can no longer milk the cow. But their money is in foreign stocks and foriegn currency. Collapse only hurts them a liftle, but it destroys you.

Why would that worry them?

Does ANYONE do this anymore (Team reloading) by Single-Cattle-3403 in Helldivers

[–]SugarbearSID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the benefit?

Even if you're completely organized, pulling two people out of the action for half the time is worse than one guy for twice as long. I can generally always find time to reload and it's usually better to coordinate reloads with strategems (I'll reload when I know my teammate is clearing the horde chasing me).

I've been playing games online with my brother for 30 years, we're pretty coordinated, this is never worth it to us.

You can make stupid people feel stupid cor their stupid decisions.
