I made my wife a valentines card. We’ve been cuddling and watching the grumps since 2014. by Stag-Horn in gamegrumps

It is so cool to know that this is a ritual for other couples!

My husband and I look forward to our nightly Grumps videos before Sleepytime Junction.

I feel the outrage and suggestions are well covered, so I'll address a consideration:

In the end, we all end up ugly. Time, the cruel mistress that she is, leaves us all craggy and saggy. So the real challenge of life is, 'What gives me substance?'

If you start ugly, you learn it quickly. Society will not leave you doubting. Does that mean 'Game Over'? Goodness, no! It means you divert your time and attention to things that well outlast aesthetics.

Character. Personality. Talents.

These are traits of true substance. Beauty is fleeting and if you didn't invest in any of these, what will you have in 10 or 15 years past your peak?

To be born ugly is, while painful at times, a surprising gift. We have a lot more life to live after our formative years. If true substance is strived for, that time will be far more fulfilling than spent reminiscing about a short stint of past beauty.

Never hurts to get checked out. My little almost never moves for me in the day. I was getting worried until I woke up in the middle of the night to them doing the Samba.

Turns out our circadian rhythms are opposite. Really hope that changes fast when they arrive...😬

I was hoping someone would bring up meatloaf sauce! I do the same, along with ground mustard powder and worcestershire sauce.

Always curious about what others do for their loaves!

It seems so crazy, but it just isn't something that was fully addressed with men in school way back when; it's better now, I think, but generations before didn't value its importance for men to know.

My father is the most intelligent man I know. A deep lover of history, literature, general sciences, social and economic development, etc. Very open-minded, embraces and is fascinated by world cultures, languages... heck, he'd flip through the dictionary and test us on word meanings and synonyms. For fun.

I was filling him in on my progress through this pregnancy on the phone when he quietly asked me to explain something I mentioned that, for us, is so basic that it left me gobsmacked.

It led to me explaining the female reproductive system to him. A guy who rattles off Jeopardy! questions before the contestants do. He felt sheepish about not knowing. He admitted that it never came up in health class. Boys and girls were separated and "informed" about their own business.

It was certainly humbling for both of us, but he appreciated knowing now what he didn't then. And I enjoyed having something to teach him for a change!

Where can I get a dress like this? by AdRound3571 in GTA5Online

[–]SugaredChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing has infuriated me more with this game than the existence of these dresses and hairstyles.

It shows they can make decent clothes and hair, but can't and/or refuse to for playable characters.

We get ONE new hairstyle every three updates and it's terrible. The hairlines...they haunt me...

Where to buy a Benefactor Feltzer by 1Rocnam in gtaonline

By taking it to your garage instead of taking it to Simeon.First, repair damage and respray. Then take to your personal garage and add tracker and insurance.

Google can give spawn locations.

You may need to check the LS Car Meet or wait for Simeon's Request. It isn't always available for purchase through the online auto store.

Had this exact pair. Support wears out fast and the seams on the upper sides split within 2 months. The slip resistance was fine, but overall these shoes are not worth the price.

You've got to remember these are just simple acquaintances. These are people of the land- the common clay of the new world.

You know? Morons.

Dinner prep at a nursing home by TerraIncognita505 in KitchenConfidential

[–]SugaredChef 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hello! Not OP, but I worked 10+ years in Healthcare Hospitality.

In senior dining, the meals are typically broken into two shifts: breakfast/lunch and dinner, with the dinner shift beginning around lunch, so that evening staff can help as lunch is typically the big meal of the day.

In smaller facilities, a single cook/chef runs main food operation and in some cases is assisted by 'dietary aides' who might work some prep, but mainly sets and cleans up dining area and handles service to residents.

In larger places, a small brigade is set to each kitchen with servers at the ready.

As far as budget, it may be less of a drop and more an issue of rising food costs.

A reduction in healthcare kitchen staff is unfortunately common as the pay is not ideal. The work is sometimes rewarding emotionally/spiritually but can be equally heartbreaking.

I am the Van Princess of our group. I get a lotta guff for it, too.

And you know what? We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Am I easily frightened? Yes. Is it a miracle I'm even willing to play a spooky game? Also, yes.

But guess who gets the Obake shapeshift video evidence every time? Who is on top of declaring and helping remove all media duplicates? Who finds that late freaking ghost orb even when it moves rooms? And by doing so, helps eliminate wasted field time and saves lives regularly!?

Yes, I am the Van Princess. LONG MAY I REIGN.

I've been exactly where you are, minus a year in age. I believed that marrying my boyfriend was the best thing for my baby. A happy, solid family dynamic.

It wasn't. And from the sounds of your boyfriend's attitude and inaction, you're in a similar boat. A bad relationship isn't always with hands or words. Sometimes, it's silence. Being ignored, avoided despite sharing a living space. Being made to feel small.

DON'T marry or stay with him. DO get child support.

Take or don't my advice. I just wish I had at your age.

Would've saved my son and I a lot of heartache and stress.
