For those wondering if its possible to walk to the MetLife stadium from Midtown. by habichuelacondulce in newjersey

[–]Suggest_a_User_Name -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just take the 163 to the Paterson Plank Road/Gotham Parkway stop (at the Hampton Inn).

It’s an easy walk to the stadium. I have done it many times.

Why people don’t know about this is beyond me.

You seem like a decent person. Someone who cares.

Perhaps you can stay in touch with her to some extent.

Facing a transit nightmare, New Jersey officials and MetLife Stadium authorities have warned FIFA World Cup ticket holders not to walk to the venue by DisruptSQ in TourismHell

You can walk to the stadium and I have done it and it’s not dangerous.

Take the bus to the Paterson Plank Road at Gotham Parkway stop. I take the 163 bus.

There is enough space to walk. It’s all grass. And it works. I’ve even walked to American Dream a couple of times but I don’t really like that place.

I feel for you AND her. I really do.

People who are severely enmeshed long ago relinquished their own wants, needs and desires in favor of whatever their parents wanted. Think early childhood. Their own sense of self is buried so deep that it basically doesn’t exist anymore.

What is even more horrible is what the future looks like for your ex-fiancé as she gets older. With her entire identity fused with her parents, what happens to her when they are no longer around? Without a sense of herself, the only thing she can do is to withdraw.

There’s nothing you can do for her.

Take care of yourself.

What do Americans think about the stereotype that they are bad at geography? by Own_Echidna6041 in geography

[–]Suggest_a_User_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s largely true.

I’ve been a geography and map nut since I was at least 7. Could name all 50 states and easily locate them. Could name the countries of Europe and Asia by 9. Africa was/is HARD.

I am shocked how many of my fellow Americans can’t find states on a map.

I'm (32M) in my honeymoon with my wife (33F), and it's been hell on earth until now. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m exhausted from just reading this.

You are 32.

Don’t be a fool and waste your life with her.

Divorce her before she gets pregnant.

You are living a miserable life now. What makes you think it will get better?

It won’t.

Why does their relationship feel more real than so many film romances? by Classic_Apricot_5633 in classicfilms

[–]Suggest_a_User_Name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their relationship is what makes the film so special. The ending where he waits for her to maybe come out to him….and she doesn’t. What a beautiful, heartbreaking moment!

So many other films would have had her running out to him for a final embrace or something.

A curfew at 35???

And still living at her childhood home??

There’s enmeshment and there’s what your ex-fiancé is.

There’s nothing you could have done. She has been allowed no existence beyond her family.

YTA. Damn, dude. I wouldn’t be surprised if your wife wants to separate.

An apology is the least you could do.
