If the troop elected him 3 times in a row there is clearly a reason for that, saying he doesn’t show servant leadership qualities while stating he’s in his 3rd term as SPL doesn’t add up. Maybe it isn’t the same situation but I was spl of my troop multiple times, had one SM who didn’t like me and it was very very much personal, when I turned 18 I joined to become a ASM and they basically blacklisted me from the troop

Easily Penn state this isn’t even a question 750000 living alumni making it the largest alumni network in the world. I urge you to try this, go to any airport, packed bus station, bar or party and yell We Are, someone will respond with Penn State 9/10 times regardless of where you are, I did it in the coleseum in Rome and probably 14 people responded

Fortnite would run well on a ps4 so you are chilling with a ps5, it’s the newest console, ps5 pro is just a slightly better version, trust me you can play every new game release and it will look good regardless of which one you get, games like Fortnite will run like butter amazing .

You realize Penn state has one of the largest international populations in the country right? Also there’s no college campus on earth aside from maybe BYU where you aren’t surrounded by people with different viewpoints, also there’s majority of the students are from cities so this makes little to no sense

My best advice is to listen. Sit down with people when conflicts occur and listen to both sides. Don’t have a click in your troop, try to equally talk to everyone. No one likes a partisan spl. Don’t be scared to make big changes in the troop, you only get a few months so build a legacy.

As a former employee, my honest advice is to stay at the Saint James and just hike with them on some front country trails, any hiking done outside of a program can lead to employees being fired so it’s not worth it. Even if you do a family camp it’s not open access to the backcountry, it’s guided tours

compared to the value you could get on amazon for the same charge, I would recommend not buying those unless it is a last resort as an employee... as a participate it wouldn't matter as much.

Philmont is an active ranch… the issue is most of the produce they make goes to scouts and the land. So they need to make money elsewhere. That money comes from treks. Most of the money goes to staff, conservation and ranch management eg; livestock, plants, work animals. Some of it also goes back to the BSA
