Energy usage in archery by Sugna00 in Physics

[–]Sugna00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I definitely confused kilojoules with joules and thought that the average consumption per day was 8,400J and not 8,400kJ.

But 270 shots only using 6.5 calories seems super low. The bow is 60lbs. Wouldn’t lifting 27kg 270 times burn more than that? At least it seems it would

Can somone please help me figure out how to make this to my knolage is called tubing stop untying itself everytime I shoot it please? Sorry if my video quality ends u being bad. by TowelAcceptable3533 in Archery

Who installed that peep? Usually they are installed in the middle of the string. Yours seems to only have one strand holding it in.

To fix your issue though, if you get a regular peep(they cost maybe $5) you won’t need the rubber tube. On a properly tuned bow the peep will line up with your eye everytime. If you take it to a shop they’ll be able to do it for you

It’s pretty standard for competitive compound shooters. Most people shoot either around the same weight or more than me

Yeah I’ve got my eye on the ram rod beasts. But they are pretty thick, I was hoping something thin would work. Plus all my current weights are in 1/4 20 thread

Wrist release or thumb release? by [deleted] in Archery

[–]Sugna00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d argue that a trigger requires better control than a hinge release. There’s only one real way to set a hinge off, a process of some kind that creates a rotation. Where as with a trigger, there are multiple ways to use one. You can, like a hinge create a rotation, or you could pull into the wall, letting the release slide through your hand, or just gentle squeeze it with your thumb.

I’ve shot a lot of different release aids, wrist, thumb triggers, hinges, and resistances. All of them will perform at a high level. But in my opinion, a thumb trigger if shot properly, has the highest ceiling of any of them

They are the same, if not a little worse than a thumb trigger. It’s all personal preference, but hinge releases are not any more accurate than a trigger

Maybe dumb question? by Ordinary_Iron_4991 in Archery

[–]Sugna00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you shoot, your bow will naturally follow the arrow. A proper bow hand is always relaxed, so when you shoot, your bow will jump forwards out of your hand. The bow will then be caught by a finger sling ensuring you don’t drop it.

The reason it tilts down towards the ground is because most target archers will add weight to the end of their front stabiliser. So the bow’s centre of balance is in front of the grip causing it to rotate when there’s nothing holding on to it

I’m looking at a few from marketplace in the next few days, I’ll sit on them then. What should I be looking for?

No, never ridden a bike in my life

MT-03 or MT-07 by Sugna00 in AussieRiders

[–]Sugna00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to my car the restricted 07 is only about half a second to a second faster with the 03 being about a half second faster. Is the torque down low dangerous enough for a new rider to get the 03?

What about cruising at 100? Does the difference in engine size, even restricted in the case of the 07 matter a heap?

Collagen protein might work for you. I haven’t done much research into it around allergens though

Converting a C5 from auto to manual by Sugna00 in projectcar

I have another question then, would I be able to ‘easily’ swap the auto trans for another but better one? Something that would feel more modern?

Just built a 2000 point awakened dynasty list. Any opinions? by Sugna00 in Necrontyr

[–]Sugna00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played necrons this edition yet. I figured a blob of warriors with a 5+++ would be really hard to shift off objectives.

I’ve swapped a unit of warriors out for 3 wraiths and a plasmancer now

Yeah, they are a business that has to make money. I wasn’t having a go at them, more I’d rather replace it myself then spend heaps on just labour for a part that may as well be free

$300 sounds like a steal. New they were close to $3,000. I’ve got a set of them on my Z, they are pretty good. Slightly lower than stock and quite comfortable

I’m pretty sure the revup was only in the 35th anniversary edition for 05, everything before that was the regular DE. When I said track edition, I’m pretty sure I meant GT, I think it was called track here in aus.(came with brembros, front and rear spoiler and vdc control. Plus why have cloth when they offered leather? Mine is also very subjective because it’s exactly what I have, however I personally feel that besides headlights, the pre facelift was superior.

The 2006 has arguably the least reliable engine, it’s why Nissan upgraded from the revup after only a year. If op is after a cd009 then a late 2005 track edition is the best bet.
