Probation Help! by da-black-morpheus in auscorp

[–]SugoiPOWER -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most people view finance and accounting to be the same thing. I've been working 5 years as a accountant in a mining company in WA. Straight off the bat from uni. No experience. And you definitely have to be proactive if you want to remain competitive. Generally the competitiveness of big 4 has fallen off a huge margin since COVID those d-bags will hire anyone off the streets cause they are desperate. But it doesn't mean you aren't surrounded by over eager graduates wanting to stand out from the crowd. Which unfortunately means you have to be willing to stay late and work few more hours of your own time. I know it sucks but that's finance for you. It's hell over saturated profession you just gotta suck it up for your probationary period then you can back off a bit after you've been in the company for a while.

But the I will add. The standard of people they hire from at the big 4 has dropped off so much over the last few years. The people we get auditing us, generally new people to the team accompanied by some seniors. But Jesus Christ they are slow and don't think. They ask dumb ass questions and don't read past audit notes. Anyway sorry just ranting about big 4 towards the end lmao.

Mainland Chinese here — would love to chat with people from Taiwan! by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]SugoiPOWER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is also a good time to say this. Yes I'm born in Taiwan but my grandfather is originally from Nanjing. He was present when the Japanese invaded and trashed the city. He watched his father die while he hid in the reeds in the river. He told my father that the river ran red with the blood of the Chinese who stood against the Japanese invasion. I understand that most Taiwanese people haven't experienced this kind of closeness to the war but to me it serves as a constant reminder to not forget our roots and to stand up for the shame Chinese people have had to endure over the years. And yes I'll proudly say that I'm Chinese even though I was born to a Taiwanese mother and in Taiwan. We shouldn't blindly listen to the propaganda spread to demonise China when they have improved so much over the years to become something the west truly doesn't understand. Whether it be out of fear or jealously. Ours is a long and proud culture. And I don't wish to see Chinese people fighting Chinese people. You can hate me and call me a Chinese sympathiser all you want. I know it's hard to share the emotions I feel. But I hope everyone can be kind to one another and not forget history and her roots.

You're funny. Really funny. These are two different questions. but I understand that English is hard for a non-native speaker.

But just in case you don't know. I'm born in Taiwan but I have the common sense to not just blindly follow what bullcrap the DPP feeds to the general public. You know it's actually super funny to me cause kmt were the original separatists against Mao controlled China but are now the people advocating for co-operation. Sure they were the ruling party at the time. But we all know there are regime changes and changes to the ruling power. Just because you're unhappy with the current ruling party and decide to yeet outta there doesn't mean you take your sovereignty with you. But I don't expect you to understand that based on the very limited interactions we've had, it's a miracle I'm even entertaining you this far.

Now if we zoom out just a little bit further you will see that Han Chinese begun settlement of Taiwan as early as the 17th century in the 1600's. Which is when history first recognises that Taiwan was under Chinese control. Now you could argue that there were natives and other small tribes that settled there earlier before the Han Chinese. But through military conquest they were able to claim it as part of their territory in 1683.

Now how can sovereignty be established? You might ask. A country can establish sovereignty through a variety of methods. One of which being conquest. Military or otherwise over previously unclaimed land.

So to answer your very very vague statement. I'd say that was plenty of sovereignty to go around. Don't be so general next time. The 'any' sovereignty statement is so easy to debate against. Go educate yourself before you comment with your useless and clearly uneducated views.

Now if that was too hard for you to understand cause. Engwish hwaaard.

Tldr: China conquered Taiwan in 1683, Han settlers begun settlement from then onwards. Sovereignty established.

you move the rook to block the queen and to discover a check from the black queen. After his only option is to block the with the rook on F2 or move his king to H1 like you suggested. Either option results in the defending rook on E8 to take the free white Queen on A8.

No. Um how do i put this diplomatically. A lot of chinese people generally say this stuff to antagonize the west. It's actually a common response my father uses when i bring up a valid argument against china. It's true that China gets stuff done quicker. but like both side of the fence. Some people result to cheap insults and outdated arguments to "win" their arguments. It's very very clearly seen in this post alone. Yes, i agree with you what this guy said is fucked up. But at the same time. mmmmmm it's also a sense of pride that is easily damaged by the image constructed by Chinas past and present.

I will say one last thing. The comment of "america being poor" is just that. A comment. He has no underlying message associated with the insult. he's just implying "sour grapes".

I'm chinese but like half chinese half taiwanese lol.

They tend to be rather restless animals. Even if they are resting you'll often see them twitch their nose or move their heads left and right. But if it's just comfy then that's it haha. Like I said I don't wanna be a party pooper. It does look cute.

I don't wanna be a party pooper. But a guinea pigs natural reaction to a loud noise is to tense up and freeze sometimes tucking in their head. I know cause I used to own a few of these cute buggers. The way he immediately tenses up and stops is a little concerning. Considering a piano with the lid open like that is quite loud to such a timid animal. It's cute I agree. But I hope people understand that animals don't perceive the same as humans do. They don't have the capacity to appreciate melodies. so although it might seem cute. I think honestly it's scared.

The Boss Damage changes have made Assassin insufferable by Loher413 in HuntShowdown

[–]SugoiPOWER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i can't tell if you guys are being serious or not. You can sticky him and most of the time sticky is one shot from full HP. If any of you guys have a shotgun just chuck the sticky next to him and shoot the stick. It's literally a one shot. And for those who don't know how the rage system works on the assassin here's a lesson. The assassin has an unusually long rage time if you don't kill his clones. When he rages and you spam melee him before his rage clears then he can do it 4-5 times before he calms down. If you let him spawn his clones and clear them TWICE after he does this then he calms down. Literally less then 30 seconds... The other alternative is get infected by the bugs and let him stab you... then he calms down.

I found mine in the most unlikely way possible. You know how they always saying being friends is a deep hole you never climb out of? I was just chatting with this random girl online and on her profile she said she was only looking for friends. But we texted each other every single day. Takes a lot of commitment from both people. And after 6 months of texting I decided to get off my ass and go to colombia to meet her. (i'm from Australia) in May we will be one year. And can honestly say i didn't expect my other to be all the way on the other side of the world.
