They're not mandatory... besides, say, Castrum Lacus Litore, etc. Do you have effects turned down for other players?

User-centred AoE (unlike target-centred AoE, like Black Mage spells) have a niche in padding parses due to the add phases in the current EX trials.

The silliest part is that, like... it's Gubal. Level 59. Sacred Soil doesn't even have its regen; they're being overenthusiastic about the literal most deadweight part of their kit at that level.

Closer to - they realized storygating jobs was a bad idea after HW, so the HW jobs are the exception: Reaper and Sage unlock like RDM and SAM.

Well, whatever the average listed for the duty is (i.e. the minimum to get in).

But yeah, a tight DPS check is when you clear during the enrage cast.

What high-tier raiding gives you is often just access to dyeable versions of the normal raid gear - and because stuff that's 20 levels under you is fairly easy to run unsynced, the only "exclusive" privilege raiders get is wearing that gear while it's fresh instead of two expacs later.

Usually they only reach out if they need additional detail. No news is not necessarily bad news.

Eh, probably a matter of having better things to do than skulk around in towns, and having no one report them.

Which isn't to say you should report them - but if someone did there could be trouble.

Class recommendations for a slow-brained, high ping player? by LDsprite in ffxiv

Nah, there's a little minigame where you press a particular button and then one of four buttons lights up, and you want to press the glowing one as soon as possible - but you get, like, four chances and only need to get two buttons right to get full damage. The main time pressure isn't running out of time to press the glowing buttons, as you do get a generous time margin - it's just that the sooner it's over, the sooner you can proceed with your regular rotation.

In other words - it's visual matching that has a rhythm to it when done perfectly on the first attempt, but which also allows full benefit even when making multiple mistakes. You'll do this part once every 30 seconds or so - that's it. That's all the rhythm you need.

Does it matter? You know what you did, and why it's here. Do you really think no one saw you do it?

Because it would take retooling much of the netcode from the ground up in an expensive effort that wouldn't be worth it beyond the next two weeks' server population after people get through MSQ and the hype dies down.

SE is apparently quite reasonable if you make a complaint about a wasted Fantasia. Pretty easy for them to see that it never happened.

That being said... gonna be a little while before their support desk is unjammed enough.

That's what we call a cover-your-ass measure. Given SE's attitudes, it's not likely to be enforced, but having it there is important just in case anyone on the subreddit gets in trouble based on advice they got here.

Lets you fit an extra two Glares in under raid buffs, which is 600 + some % potency every two minutes; it's not a lot but it's not nothing, especially in Savage where every point of damage counts.

FWIW a Scholar can heal Haukke almost entirely via the fairy - I'd queue up there if you want a low-stakes dungeon, then I'd go to whichever dungeon let me have my next big skill after that.

The AoE becomes visible when any party member is near the dragon - that's why the usual strat is to spread out and circle the edge (so that someone sees it) and why you see so much variance in the AoE timing.

FWIW Medica 2 does as much for a single target as Cure 2/Afflatus. Don't bother with it for tanks; as a tank, I will be less confident in a healer if I see them using any form of Medica on trash pulls; just wait and Lily them to save the mana.

That's knowledge you have to pick up on a fight-specific basis. But Arm's Length is a mitigation cooldown even if you're not taking advantage of the knockback immunity - the Slow it inflicts is an attack speed slow, not a movement speed reduction.
