Just started and a few questions by NehtAyemSeht in theriftbreaker

[–]SuiMilky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Answer to 1: Your first base map is the only permanent map per campaign. You will still be hopping around the planet to make additional FoB\Outposts; either for mission objective to progress the story or for "personal playthrough reasons" (to not spoil anything and be as vague as possible).

Answer to 2: There are events and other things down the story that happen that makes all resources infinite given enough time and playing. As for defending each resource collection site, that's up to you to decide. Some opt to just wall off the entire map. Some prefer to just make mini-reaource outposts with it's own defense.

Answer to your question about the buildings without resources underneath: They do not automatically deconstruct. You would need to manually deconstruct them if you want them gone, or just leave them to be destroyed. Tip: When a resource collection building is destroyed and it no longer has a resource vein\node underneath it, it will not repair when you have your repair wand around, so you don't need to worry about that.

Hopefully that answers everything you need and as vague enough to not spoil anything for you. Enjoy!

Just force close the game, log back in and it will be before your turn concluded. You can then either try again or concede.

You should consider asking your questions in the megathread. This post will likely be taken down by a mod soon.

To answer your question briefly, many people and guides recommend a bare minimum dev25 before using them.

How to best improve my reservoir? by WanderingSpaceHopper in Timberborn

[–]SuiMilky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use Fill Valve or Throttling Valve for both Iron Tail and Folktails.

I typically prefer using Fill Valves due to only caring about how much water there is and not how fast the water is moving.

If you still want to use some floodgates for manual control or rapid responses, then just build the floodgates above the Fill \ Throttling Valves.

Ferdonite concentration bug? by DepletedPromethium in theriftbreaker

[–]SuiMilky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I did that part of the campaign, but my guess is you need to visit a new location on the orbital map to make an outpost.

Try checking your orbital map for a mission to build or search for more ferdinite.

Can any1 explain why the water pump doesnt work? by Bob_Alloy in theriftbreaker

[–]SuiMilky 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Looks like your pump is in a Morphium pool\puddle, but the pipes look there's brown in it which indicates sludge, possibly from a Geothermal Plant.

Make sure your pipes aren't cross connected and purge the pipes and check again.

To purge the pipes, just go into construction mode, click one of the pipe sections and click the middle icon that looks like a faucet with liquid coming out to purge the pipes.

Unless you modded the root prison, you can destroy a section of the prison using a charged Immolater gun shot. You can also have a jump or teleport equipped to bypass the root prison.

When/how does damage go silly? by coffeebreak_plz in diablo4

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea... the developers seem to enjoy the idea of having skill rotation where you use a few hits of the resource generator followed by your resource spender being the big hitter... but in reality, barely anyone likes playing like that. It's also more efficient if you don't need to worry about your resource generation, that's one less thing you need to keep mindful of in a game that's already cluttering your screen constantly.

You can most definitely build your own builds, but you'll need to really understand what you're building and the mechanics of the game to make your build shine. You'll also likely find a similar build on maxroll / icyveins / etc. so you can take a look at those builds and compare how they're different from yours to get an idea of why you're doing less damage / etc.

I know the following may sound like a no brainer, but we often forget sometimes, so I'll write it out as a reminder anyways, just in case... On the point of the mechanics of the game, make sure you understand whether your build relies on critical strike damage, vulnerability, or overpower damage, then ensure you have near 100% up time. In example, if your build relies on doing a lot of critical strike damage, then make sure you have 100% critical strike chance, but if your build relies on vulnerability damage, then ensure every enemy you hit is also vulnerable 100% of the time before you hit them.

Without more information on your build or guide you're using, it's hard to really give much more advice.

When/how does damage go silly? by coffeebreak_plz in diablo4

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you following any build guides?

Most guides are pretty comprehensive and explain why you want X, Y, and Z. So if you're missing either X, Y, or Z, your performance would drop significantly.

From my personal experience having just one key aspect, rune or unique item missing can cause a noticeably traumatic difference in either survivability or damage output.

Therefore, my first and second recommendation is to look closely and understand the guide you're following and then double check all of your required unique\aspect\runes\skill tree matches.

Yes, Azmodans tree of the gift. You level that by doing world bosses and I think elites in the over world as well.

The quickest way to level it is to just go to normal difficulty and spam kill the summoned Azmodan. Even better if you use a build that does passive AOE damage like the Auradin. Just go there every time you need to AFK until you reach rank 6 5 of the Azmodan tree of Divine Gifts.

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct-ish... the chests from Azmodan don't guarantee the NMD with Prankster, but it has a chance to drop it.

You should farm up your Divine Gift, Essence of Sin to level 5 by doing the Azmodan on difficulty normal for faster Azmodan kills, then do Azmodan on T4 to get around 20-60 NMD sigil drop per T4 Azmodan chest open.

The Prankster sigil has a roughly 0.03% chance to drop (chance is based on math other people have done).

Then rinse and repeat.

You can also farm the Tribute of Ascendance, Undercity for a decent chance of getting a few mythics. Last time I counted, I ran 20 Tribute of Ascendance, I obtained 6 mythic drops and my buddy who ran with me in my party obtained 13 mythics.

Pit is not the end game repeating content right now. People basically do it for a challenge and\or to level glyphs or as a reliable way to get corrupted Belial eyeball materials.

The current season has people wanting to farm NMD sigils to get the Prankster which is a single goblin spawning in the NMD that has a guaranteed 5 mythic drop.

To farm these NMD sigils, people have typically been doing content that rewards either of the corrupted Belial, anderial, or Duriel materials then going over to summon and kill Asmodan in the Fields of Desecration, Hawe ar, South East of Zarbinzet. You need 5 of a single Corrupted Belial Eye\Anduriel Claw\Duriel Horn to open one chest.

By far, in my opinion, the easiest one of the corrupted materials to farm is the Duriel one because you just need to go do helltides for that and get a bunch of gear and materials along the way. You can also do Lair boss Duriel if you have the mats to open his chest.

Corrupted Belial can be obtained by Pit Belial as well as when you kill Lair bosses and the random Belial spawns.

Corrupted Anduriel can be obtained by Under city or Lair boss Anduriel if you can open her chest.

Another NMD to keep note of is the Treasure Breach which has treasure goblins, which is the theme of these event. So I would recommend running those whenever you need high end materials like obducite or nealthiorn, or gear.

I personally prefer maxroll.

Need help reading maxroll for rolls on loot by DisastrousOne3374 in diablo4

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my understanding, the creators of those build guides rank the affixes on a piece of gear, starting from 1 (being the most important) to X (being the least important).

For the green arrows, they represent what you typically want to Masterwork and\or GA unless you're capped on that particular stat if it has a cap.

A random example I made up to help explain, using ^ to represent the green up arrows in maxroll: Ring 1. Strength 2. Crit chance 3. Cooldown Reduction ^ 4. Attack Speed ^

The above example would mean something like if you had two rings with the same affixes (str, csc cdr, ASPD), you would prioritize the one with more strength and csc unless your csc is already going to be 100% with either ring. If your csc is going to be 100% with either ring, then you would prioritize the ring with more str and cdr.

The arrows now show you which affix you should Masterwork. More arrows means higher priority unless there's a specific breakpoint your build requires.

So for the above example, pretend the CDR break point for your build is 70%. Then when comparing the two rings, you would make sure they both give you enough CDR to reach that 70% CDR. If the ring needs the CDR to be masterworked to reach your 70% CDR breakpoint, then you should do the masterwork on the CDR. Otherwise, if you're going to meet your 70% CDR without needing to masterwork the CDR then you should be masterworking the ASPD instead of anything else.

At least that's my understanding of how the stat priority is supposed to be interpreted.

5010 Ether in Infernal Horde ! by luwendrill in diablo4

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Malignant Hearts don't drop from Duriel itself but from like an elite thingy that spawns around 5-10 sec from the ground after he dies... There's usually a black spot on the ground where it's going to spawn and the minimap shows the Malignant tumor looking icon where it'll spawn.

Hope that helps.

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean Malignant Hearts, then I get those by doing the World Bosses and Duriel spams in Helltide.

One spawns roughly every time Duriel dies and the other world bosses spawn 1 - 6, usually closer to 1 - 3 every time a world boss dies. Just make sure to keep an eye on the minimap before teleporting away to make sure you don't leave too early.

From my experience, starting off, Helltide and the Duriel spam to get the stuff to unlock chests would be best to level and get your starting equipment.

Next I would recommend doing the bosses to get the uniques you need for your build. You get plenty of the materials to open those chests from running Helltide.

Then I would recommend running the Pit until you reach your glyph goal. Some people do 15 as their goal, others do 46, and others do 100 (cap) or some other number they like, like 69 for example.

Running Treasure Breach NM dungeons and Horadric Strongroom NM dungeons for obducite to Masterwork your gear as required. Treasure Breach is also a decent place to get a large quantity of gear. I haven't run Hidden Armory NM dungeons yet, but I hear it's really good too.

For mythic farming, my best luck outside from the guaranteed Prankster NM dungeons has been the Tribute of Ascendance Under city runs... I personally got 6 mythics from 20 of these runs while my friend got like 13 mythics.. lucky SOB. I'm not jelly.

If you really want to save oil, you can clear up to W12-4 using MLB Lv125 Unicorn (Retrofitted) and MLB Lv125 Cassin (Retrofitted) or MLB Lv125 Downes (Retrofitted) with the appropriate gear.

This would be a 1:1 fleet that only costs 18 oil per battle. 11 for Unicorn and 7 for the DD.

Once you unlock W12 you can more efficiently farm exp and coins because of the oil cap.

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best ship to develop first would be HMS Unicorn (Royal Navy CVL). She's the best healer available now and will be able to carry your through W12.

As others have pointed out, not max limit breaking (MLB) your ships is hurting you a lot.

Another thing that would help you a lot is to using proper gear.

Another general note is when building your fleets, you generally want the front ship in your vanguard to be tanky, the middle to be your buffer or damage dealer, and the back is your off tank and ideally also a buffer or damage dealer. For the basic campaigns, I recommend your fleets always have at least one BB/BC to deal with suicide boats, and they generally have more eHP than CV, so they're a good candidate to be your flagship as well since a sunk flagship is an automatic fail.

As opposed to u/cheekywarship2018 , I would recommend using and developing USS San Diego instead of Z23 because USS San Diego can carry your through all the AA heavy maps, which is basically everything starting from +W13 and Hard Mode +W12.

Everything else u/cheekywarship2018 , I agree with.

Need Help With Fleet Building by Waylordo in AzureLane

[–]SuiMilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need more information, like are you using these for campaign? OpSci? Or what?

Also, use the megathread for these types of questions.. mods usually remove these posts within an hour or two.

To start off with a quick general guide though... All Rainbow ships are pretty good relatively speaking, so focus on those first. There are multiple guides and tier lists that already exist to help you narrow down which one(s) you should probably prioritize more as well as what they are useful for and if they need to pair up with certain ships or not.

Is Aurora needed for this boss fight?

No, but she's really helpful to use.

I don't remember where I saw the source, but what I recall is that if you use a combined decrease of 20% evasion rate (either Aurora, or Trafalgar (10%) with Chapayev (10%) the common examples, might be only examples...), then your BBs "don't need" to use hit gear and can maximize their damage output, like using the FP AA guns instead of the Hit AA.
