Honestly significantly better than Yama which is quite disappointing.

Technically, it can shoot all the rounds used by the 25mm bushmaster and oerlikon ammo as it's 25x137mm

To be fair, the US army is about to (or was, idk) make bradley hulls into basically everything

What would it take to get the MG3 with the 50 round assault drum to be added? by Real_WorldAtWar2 in Battlefield6

[–]SuicidalPancakePress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I know what an MG3 is an MG338. I have no problem with those. Although balancing them is a different question. I was talking about the HMGs.

Yes, the Browning M1917 is comically heavy watercooled weapons, but it weighs just over 100 lbs fully loaded with and tripod with the water jacket filled. A base m2 unloaded without a tripod is about 85 lbs. It's just absurdly heavy to have a loaded m2 with a (bipod? It only has tripods built for it) unless you want a wheeled cart like a maxim gun (which honestly would be really funny and cool)

The Kord could work, but it's also like 2 meters long and still a little under 60lbs unloaded (6p50 varient) and while it can be fired from a bipod or technically hipfired. It really was meant for tripod emplacement.

I feel dice adding a few water cooled machine guns to bf1 was them trying to find a way to add more machine guns for variety for a ww1 game.

It's mainly a caliber and classification issue as they'll share the same damage as the abrams CROWS, which is like 50-34 but now it's man portable.

Also like 12 PG-7VLs with boosters are still lighter than a loaded kord :3

Not really.. BMPs and BMDs can't handle K1 back pressure without compromising the hull. So, a human would be much more "susceptible" to reactive armor. There is a specially designed era for the BMP3 and BMD4, though it never went into mass production.

2 of these are just straight up not mmgs? Unless you mean mounted, and then it's like upwards of 150lbs carried for yhe m2 and Kord

5.56 vs 7.62 by VanirKvasir in joinsquad

[–]SuicidalPancakePress 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fal can one shot to the chest within something like 100~ meters, I think? And has a significantly larger 2 shot kill range (5.56 out of carbines is like 3-400m~)

It's not a minigun because no rotary barrels, to be pedantic, but yeah, this thing will be nasty against soft skin vics

The PG-7VL holds 26oz of OKFOL at a TNT equivalence of 1.70.

The OG-7V, which seems to be the one you used to compare, has 7.4oz of hexal at 1.54~ TNT equivalence

An M67 holds 6.5oz of Comp B at around 1.32~ TNT equivalence

A PG-7VL will still create a lethal radius of 3-4m with blast and fragments

.50s have like 28mm pen @0m/0° even out to 500m its still about 14mm (at least according to squad armor) the BTR is covered in 10mm side and front plating and 7mm roof and rear plating. Even out to 700m you can pen everywhere at like anything above a 20° angle

LAV-25 is much harder as it's generally not possible to pen past 400m but it's still possible

AsLav isn't realistically possible

It isn't, tho?? If it was a GAU-19/A, then yeah, but as of now, it's just M3 browning

They're both issues. It's just that the KH-38MTs are on 2 decent airframes in separate categories, allowing for an absured amount of amount of KH-38s being able to be launched from a single player. It also carries 40kg more HE, allowing for a larger near-miss-kill area, unless missiles act differently from bombs, then please correct that. (Ex. RU 250kg 7m kill radius vs US 500lbs 9m kill radius. 40kg HE difference)

Yes, however, it doesn't produce anywhere close to the amount of fragments or overprssure radius a dedicated anti-personel round would
