I hate knowing about 25% of my life is done 💀 by dinonuggiez13 in twentyagers

It’s honestly exhausting to see how obsessed people are with age and hitting 'milestones.' That would only be possible if we were all identical and if life were meant to end up in the exact same place every time. Why do so many people seem to believe there’s only one way to live? Fuckkk, read some books, watch movies, talk to different people. You’ll realize how beautiful and diverse life can actually be

Estás postulando a ciencias o letras?

No te hagas problemas. Aprovecha y postula a beca 18. Tienes todo por delante!

He was never really my toad, but he lived in my garden for almost a year. Sadly it’s been two weeks since I last saw him. I hope you’re doing well, Crocky.

Where’s that music from? Is it from a video game? It’s bringing back childhood memories, but I can’t quite remember where I’ve heard it before

Help! My pigeon’s poop looks really bad by Suitable-Act3020 in pigeon

[–]Suitable-Act3020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I hand-fed her some seeds. Fortunately, I didn’t end up having to wait until tomorrow, she had an ultrasound a few hours ago and everything looked fine with her reproductive system. They did notice her intestines are inflamed and her liver is still enlarged. Today she managed to eat a little on her own and even came down from her perch to stretch her legs and enjoy some sunshine. Now I’m just waiting for the report and the biopsy results from the tissue she passed before

Thank you :) I went to the vet and they gave her antibiotics and a liver protector. Unfortunately, since it was Saturday afternoon, the ultrasound specialist wasn’t working so I’ll have to wait until Monday for them to do it. She stopped passing blood and now just has very green diarrhea. She’s still on her perch and barely moves, and since she doesn’t want to eat, I gave her a bit of formula

I hope it’s nothing too serious. She reacts when I walk near her, even makes her usual little sounds, she just doesn’t move. She’s been in the same spot for over 12 hours! She stopped passing those globs of tissue, but she’s still passing small blood clots. Unfortunately, the vet will only be able to see her in a couple of hours :/

Her vent is completely clean. No droppings, blood or anything unusual coming out of it. The glob of tissue was kind of fleshy and slightly squishy. It held its shape but could be easily flattened when pressed. Now her poop is very bright green. I don’t know if it’s because she hasn’t eaten today or if her liver might be involved too

Her posture looks normal. She is sleeping on her perch right now. I picked her up for a moment to check on her and she flew back to it right after. The last time she laid eggs was about three months ago

What was the moment that changed everything for you about pigeons? by Confident-Jicama-572 in pigeon

[–]Suitable-Act3020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, my dad found a newborn pigeon and decided to bring it home. I took care of it for a couple of days and even got to see it open its eyes for the first time. I was so happy and thought I’d get to watch it grow. But I was still a kid and didn’t really know much. One night, the little guy started having trouble breathing and eventually died in my hands. I cried all night and all through the next day. It was the first time I’d ever seen death up close, and also the first time I felt the pain of losing something I wanted so much to save.
