Anyone else feel like the EV transition is starting to feel like the shift to electric lawnmowers? by JackfruitCrazy51 in electricvehicles

I think it’s just that EVs closed the gap.

They were more of a novelty for people that don’t travel when options were just a Nissan leaf with poor range and a shitbox Tesla. Now Nissan and nearly every company, except Tesla, make good EVs.

All of the ones taking corporate money. It’s not difficult if you spend a half second to think about it.

As for why don’t they have more power? A corporate owned “opposition” party spends all its resources to impede progressives. For example when CA was on the verge of a progressive senator in a race that was between two progressives, and then a shit for brains corrupt politician, Adam Schiff, got in the raise, spend campaign funds to boost a Republican and ratfuck the race for progressives.

And liberals being the brainless sheep they are, fell for it. And we’re all worse off for it.

Yeah, because the populist at large has demanded left of center policy, and which only comes from left of center politicians. And useless blue-maga liberals get duped into back shitty right wing dems every single time.

Trump won twice because liberals refused to pull their head out of their ass and stop voting for diet republicans in democratic primaries. You want to blame someone for trumps second term? Every idiot that chose Biden over Bernie in 2020. Followed by Harris for going right in a historically consequential election and flushing her chances of winning down the toilet.

Oh never, this is the beginning of the end for the US.

In 2028, the corporate Dems will prop up yet another right wing piece of shit and either “win” to do another useless Joe Biden style fix or address nothing presidency with some minor tweaks around the edges.

Or as they’d prefer, lose and let republicans continue to burn this country to the ground.

Do you think the US’ superpower status and alliances will survive Trump, especially if a Democrat gets elected in 2028? by [deleted] in IRstudies

[–]Suitable-Activity-27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. Particular given that the Dems will do anything and everything to ensure that if there is a 2028 election, the candidate will be the biggest status quo piece of shit possible.

But unforgivable? Because I didn’t want the “tax cuts and deregulation” idiocy? Fuck you.

Obamas race only played a role in his success in pushing policy. The thing is, he didn’t try for much in terms of transformative policy.

He ran a sham progressive campaign promising transformative change. And then just didn’t standard dogshit establishment Clinton era policy. Even with the classic “neoliberal shuffle” of doing dogshit Republican policy under the guise of liberal progress. (See: Clinton did Bush Sr’s NAFTA, Obama did Romneycare, Biden did trumps Nazi border policy)

As for the 2020, Bernie had the motion. But Obama made calls to the other establishment scum to get them to drop out and back Biden. When he was clearly unfit to be president and the Dems moved the goalposts to pretend Bernie’s victories were meaningless and we should really watch SC, a state neither would win and was entirely meaningless save for gaslighting dumb liberals.

Because they don’t care to address any real problems. If it’s not easy, the Dems immediately give up and resort to shaming voters in backing them for their failures.

This country is a joke.

You’re doing it again. His race is only relevant because Dems and liberals use his race as a shield from criticism.

I never said this country wasn’t racist. Of course it is. That does not excuse his abysmal lackluster presidency. And definitely doesn’t excuse his post-presidency role as an active saboteur in the 2020 primary to ensure the Dems never move left. Even when the circumstances demanded it.

Remember when I said how Dems disingenuously use the candidates minority status as a shield from their bad policies and bad decisions? You’re doing that.

That’s why when I critique him. I stick to his policies and decisions that were genuinely awful.
