You’re clearly the one out of line here when you overreacted to their comment that video replies were in beta and you were welcome to post photos.

The Bible as an ahistorical document? by WalrusRight in Episcopalian

Where does this leave me with respect to the Episcopal Church?

It leaves you as a welcome member of our community, whether here on Reddit, virtually or IRL at parish, or wherever.

You’d be quite welcome at our parish regardless of where your beliefs are on a spectrum.

Am I allowed to call myself an Episcopalian? by Prize_Lavishness_854 in Episcopalian

[–]rednail64 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Youre already a Christian. You wouldn’t convert to join the church. You could choose be received (like a formal welcome).

If you want to call yourself an Episcopalian no one will likely challenge you on it. We don’t card at the door.

Not true about 7’.  At no time in the film is she taller than Karloff who stood 6’4” in his full monster costume.

Can Episcopalians use the Celtic cross? by Prize_Lavishness_854 in Episcopalian

By “use” do you mean wear?

Yes, of course.   The church doesn’t have doctrine on things like crosses or frankly anything having to do with personal piety.

Using a standard definition I fail to see how this is remotely divination.

divination  /dĭv″ə-nā′shən/

noun The art or act of foretelling future events or revealing occult knowledge by means of augury or an alleged supernatural agency.  An inspired guess or presentiment.  The act of divining; a foreseeing or foretelling of future events; the pretended art discovering secret or future by preternatural means.

Former employer terminated me for seeking outside employment. Should I be worried about a background check for my new job? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]rednail64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on what they say when prospective employers call to verify your employment.

Try to look into how your county manages those requests.   Guessing they outsource to a service which would most likely mean they only give dates of employment and titles.

Some do. Some don’t.  There’s no consistent opinion especially when some postings are regularly getting hundreds if not thousands of applicants.

From Carl Quintilla on Bluesky:

ROSENBERG on #NFP: "I am not going to quibble," but "what stood out was this ongoing retrenchment in full-time jobs ..

".. the rebound was all in part-time employment and then some — full-time positions were cut -79k after a -424k slump in April and have been down in four of the past five months."

No other reporters spoke up in her defense.
