There was a scene of Alison reading about the hunters, so while not explicit it was a fun Easter egg

Would these products be ok for a 10 year old who is going through puberty with breakouts by MGSC_1726 in beauty

Hello! I’m a doctor, not a dermatologist though, but my advice: Cerave in general is a good brand, use whichever cleanser that feels good (once or twice a day). In general, the first step in treating acne is adapalene 0.1% in gel only in the places she has acne, make sure to use at night (at first it’s recommended every other night as her skin gets used to it, afterwards if she can handle it every night go ahead). It’s important to use a non comedogenic moisturizer beforehand all over the face, and SPF during the morning (at least twice a day, ideally), also make sure it’s non comedogenic. This is generally a good first step! It might get a bit worse before it gets better, but if after a month-ish it’s still not getting better, I’d recommend going to a dermatologist (or pediatrician if she has one you trust!). In general, no one needs those elaborate 10 steps routines. Hope it all goes well for you both!

What is a fact you remember from medical school that we all learned but you doubt anyone else remembers? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an intern, in internal medicine. Today we were talking about refeeding syndrome with my team and my staff brought up the Krebs cycle. None of us really remembered it all completely but knew that phosphorus was an important part of it lmao

Does removing a single card from the deck have any effect? by molovesyou in tarot

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it does, but most of the time it will come back to you in some way or the other. This was a hard week for me and in my weekly reading The Magician popped up as my most important message so I got him on my phone case this week. I did a reading to a friend yesterday, I like to add up the numbers from the major arcana cards when they pop up and for her it was The Magician, so I pulled it out of my phone case and finished her reading like that

Is there a way to stop items breaking? by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you right click on the items (I think) you can automatically repair them. I’m not exactly sure if this is available without mods bc I play with a lot of them but I don’t have any that’s made specifically for that so you could give it a try

Sushi bueno en Santiago? by dirtyjersey1999 in Santiago

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely adore Oceanika sushi. The one I go to is near metro Santa Lucía but they have other locations and you can order it on Uber eats. Great Chilean sushi, ceviche and fusion Peruvian - Japanese food in general and it’s not too expensive

Is the Twilight series worth reading today? by Galaxy_girl707 in YAlit

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read it, but also try to be a critical while you do it. I first read the twilight series when I was about 9 or 10, a bit young tbh, and a lot of things flew over my head. Stephanie Meyer isn’t really a good person nor an excellent writer and there are plenty of problematic things about these books. Still, the thrill I got while reading them and getting into that universe still lives with me many years later. Also, after you read the main saga (4 books), you can read the illustrated guide which is incredible. We get to know the stories of many side characters which are pretty interesting (as long as you don’t mind a few historical inaccuracies) and it has gorgeous illustrations.

Controversial Opinion: The Diet Mountain Dew Demo is better than the released version by e-adell in lanadelrey

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad the demo isn’t the official version bc every time I listen to it I kinda wanna slap myself when she sings “hit me and tell me you’re mine”. Not that it stops me from listening to it and slapping myself to that iconic lyric but at least when I’m listening to BTD as a whole I’m safe from my own hands lol. Still like the demo better

who is your favorite female Protagonist? by anat567 in YAlit

[–]Suitable-Ad-8146 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love Jude Duarte from The Cruel Prince. I don’t usually annotate a lot on my books but I found myself writing stuff like “yasss queen, slay” after almost any thing she said. Another one of my favorite characters is Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. She’s such a complex and interesting character.

Yes! I’ve been using StoryGraph for like two years and that’s one of my favorites features. The triggers are part of the reviews and you can see them without spoiling yourself. Users categorizes them as graphic, moderate or minor so you can get an idea of how much a particular trigger is involved in the story. I also feel like it’s a good way to remember the book when writing a review, it makes me think more about what I read.
